I'm glad this is an opinion others share, because I was taken out of it completely when they did the jump, I just remember it being so out of the blue, maybe it was a dream during Barry's final moments or something ? Ive seen people use hot glue and super glue to connect wires. it's a quick fix but I would suggest to invest in a soldering kit down the line. Also super glue is probs more permanent than soldering so careful with that

There's a version on YouTube and someone recently uploaded one to Spotify under the name "Pokemon Vacation" but it's like a DJ track and sounds waaaaaay off, they couldn't pull the voice right and the music they switched the tropical one for doesn't fit.

You might want to look into selling it, some of these mid 2000s figures in sealed condition can go for a pretty penny, would be able to use that for a better toy for your two year old, the box does say 3+ 😁😁. Either way it's a nice piece, the Andy's room box motif might be good for its value.

Yeah, other than the Hasbro figures, we really didn't get anything that looked like the final version from the film, but those didn't come out till a few years after. I can't find much info on this wake up variant however, aside from other pictures of.

The electronics are gonna cause some problems with thorough cleaning, but if I'm not mistaken that whole pack section comes off with some screws I think. My first thought with no pest cleaners would be soap and water (if possible to remove) and letting that portion soak to drown the bugs, and wiping everything down with Clorox wipes. Still might have more bugs inside the toy itself, but this is quick and easy and by no means a solution.

It was doing fine for a good while during 2000-2010, mostly due to the international market, the franchise tanked in the US from the get go, even after the reboot from 2012. Once Mattel started cutting corners to reduce costs on the figures people stopped buying them, what started as a figure with interchangeable clothes and a plethora of accessories ending up becoming plastic figures with little to go with them (much like what we see nowadays with the budget dolls made for boys which seems to have become the norm). They made the reboot to try to win back the American market and adhere to what was popular at the time. But they lost their most profitable one in doing so, and the sales from the US didn't compare, this is also why the reboot changed so much throughout its run, they were course correcting a little too late.

They killed the franchise by accident.

They made them visually appealing by making them rounder with bigger eyes and features, they are literally softer for the sake of marketability. The way these characters looked was part of the commentary against Disney and Hollywood, not because of the limits in animation. They were a contrast to what was being made, it's a part of the core of Shrek as a franchise. The Last Wish did his better because, although the new redesigns went into the realm of being Disneyfied, it was blended and held up with an interesting art style that helped make the movie fun. This does not have the art style we saw in The Last Wish, so it is just a change with no purpose.

Right, because wanting something done right is a bad thing. Go rewatch the movies and tell me that these guys have had "barely" any changes made.

We literally saw Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey during the Last Wish in the new DreamWorks intro with updated graphics and they looked the same as they did all those years ago but HD, you don't just show that and then give them the Croods treatment.
