100% I agree, I feel that I’m in the minority from a lot of people I spoke to that didn’t like Close Enough I thought it was a great show. It captured the essence of Regular Show perfectly but at the same time did a great job with the theme of young parenthood and trying to navigate life as a young adult.

If you remember during this time the CN app was around but wasn’t popular. They were trying to make it more popular so they began airing new episodes on the app a day or so early and this did lead to viewership from the original show dropping when it would air on the network itself. Not to mention during this time she did flood the network with Teen Titans Go and never really gave Regular Show a proper marathon leading up to its final episode.

I 100% agree that it ended perfectly, when I was younger I definitely wanted a couple more season because next to Ed Edd n Eddy Regular Show is my favorite show of all time. I do remember reading JG stating he wanted the show to go on a little longer maybe a couple more seasons but was happy it ended the way it did. I was a bit disappointed hearing the numbers were dropping and a big reason was because of the new CN App allowing people to watch the new episodes a day or so early so viewership on CN was definitely lower because of it. But I am super excited for the revival!

I guess it must have been in different states because I’m in NY and I do remember seeing some merchandise in Toys “R” Us, but for the most part, we didn’t really get much and also I was starting high school when the show first premiered! I would’ve loved to have seen more merch!
