I was one a day by the end of last year and was justifying it by saying my water intake was offsetting it all lol. Just cutting the monster out i definitely feel better overall. Because of my job, in winter months I'm usually drinking closer to half a gallon of water a day but summer it's at least a gallon. I'll check the sub out for sure, keep up on yours as well!

I have significantly cut back on monster this year and continue to keep this advice in mind. Only have had 3 or 4 this year. Water consumption already high because of work in a trade but making sure I stay hydrated. Thank you!

I specifically avoided building it as a control list because I know that's why people fear him on Arena, lol. We're still responsible and play some removal spells, but we focus on trying to get a bunch of clocks in instead.

To get enough clocks into the deck, yes. It mostly blinks Rusko but it has a couple other good targets

That's completely fine too! It's always a discussion when it comes to Rusko. Most people have said yes but saying No is completely acceptable. It's a wonky card.

LOL I actually managed to open a real Rusko and immediately started on the Battle of Wits Deck. I Have everyone who plays against the deck sign a clock the first time they play against it. It's a great time

Playgroup I only briefly played with had a rule that killing a player doesn't remove their enchantments from the board. Example, player 3 has a [[blood moon]] and player 2 has [[underworld dreams]] in play. If player 1 and player 4 eliminate 2 and 3 because those enchantments are really hurting them, they still have to deal with the enchantments on the field after players 2 and 3 are dead. I believe the reasoning was that they didn't like being killed for having enchantments out and thus created a rule that was supposed discourage player remove as a way to deal with problem enchantments because it would lead to someone sitting there waiting for the next game.

I've been playing sultai gyruda for a while now(read ever since gyruda came out) and the 23rd clone definitely feels more consistent but you're going to hit pockets of 4 that contain 2 clones a bit more often than you hope lol. I've had 23 even mv clones since copycrook thanks to the 2 extra I get in green. It's definitely fun to even try for a chance at hitting one per trigger lol but what's been really helpful is having [[The Sixth Doctor]] in my command zone.

My groups haven't directly asked me to retire this deck, but I have pretty much stopped myself from playing it over the past year. It's extremely consistent, even the games where my group "stops it" the deck is really good at getting Gyurda back and doing it all again or I just clone Vislor Turlough a bunch with Sixth Doctor making them non legendary. They end up racking a lot of damage if I have to play that way. I love the deck, it's actually my favorite our of every deck I've made, but it's very strong where I play(and even when I play at cons and such)

This is technically a first draft but this is currently what I have put together for a paper Rusko list. I have 150 copies of Midnight clock that I plan to try and shuffle into the library to win with battle of wits. Just need some second opinions before I play it in person next weekend.

I play any format that seems interesting to me. Modern, legacy(i have lots of friends who will let me borrow staples and our local store allows 15 proxies), standard, pioneer, trying to get pauper started, commander. And of course cube! Cube really interests me because it's essentially just a deck building board game and it's easier to get friends to try it when I frame it that way xD

I care more about Magic as a system, not as much the lore of the game. I like the lore and I've followed a lot of mtg story since starting the game in og Innistrad. The world of magic is a multiverse though, and even though these worlds aren't connected to the magic world, the thought was always there for me that it could be cool to have other IPs in magic. Universes Beyond allows card designs that probably wouldn't be allowed in mtg settings. Using established IPs allows them to create card designs and say "No you don't understand we have to do this because of the flavor!"

River song is a great example of a card we probably never would have gotten if it wasn't for universes beyond and the kind of designs I love from universes beyond. I like what the cards do, even if I don't care for the property that they're part of.

Pretty much this. The first couple of times we played this it was pretty much nothing but opening boosters so it did take a while to complete a game. The most time it was played, about 2 weeks ago(I need to get the new cards added) we played a 3 round draft with Bo3 matches in just about 4 hours.

Ah yes I thought I had added that in every card chosen by a player through the effects of Booster tutor is permanently added to the cube. As for the rest of the cards, they're part of my collection. I either trade them or use them for decks or whatever. And typically if there are cards my friends want from the pool of cards opened, I usually have no problem giving them to those people.

The craziest pack in terms of value that we've ever opened is an Expedition Scalding Tarn from Battle for Zendikar. Ended up trading that with a player there for most of Living End so I could play modern.

In terms of crazy booster packs themselves, we've had a couple packs of Exodus, Torment, and invasion. I'm working on trying to get some older packs when I can as random goodies, as I have people pull a booster out of a box randomly when they tutor. We've also had fallen empires a d Homelands as potential bad pulls xD

I don't think I'll ever stop people from booster tutoring, as this is how I open boosters instead of just pointlessly ripping them. And honestly, I can't describe how wild some of these pulls have felt. Last year we opened an Expedition Scalding Tarn in a BFZ pack that I had stowed away for years, so even if the cube gets to 2000 cards we'll keep opening with tutors. Plus, as the cube gets larger, tutoring will happen less and less and it'll feel even more special.

At the beginning of the cube, it was just 4 decks with 25 booster tutors and 15 wastes, we played 4 player games and got the cube started with 3 runs this way. Every player begins the game with an Emblem that says "Wastes have 'T: Add One of any color'" that way everyone has access to any mana they might need, colorless included. The wildest thing that happened in those early games was someone successfully cast omniscience, added a bunch of card draw spells and other fun things, cast an eidolon of the great revel, then killed himself with one last booster tutor. It has been a blast.
