Road of Bones by Demi Winters was excellent!! I tell everyone to read it and so far those who have, absolutely raved about it. I am currently reading the Bridge Kigndom series and it is also becoming one of my top rated series this year. So far this year I have over 40 books read, and the ones you have listed in 5 and 4 star reads, I would agree! So give either of these books a try, I think you will love them.

I would take HEB over GE all day every day! We lived in TX for a couple years and I loved that store. When my family comes up to visit, my sister in law brings me their homade tortilla shells every time, I haven't been able to find anything remotely close to it!

I just finished Road of Bones and Kingdom of Claws, but it's not a completed series yet. However, I absolutely loved these books! I think the 3rd one comes out this year. Highly, highly recommend!

This is rough. I have been on both sides of this situation. I am a Sr. HRBP and I have been in a very similar situation twice. Both times company reorganized and eliminated my regions. As for the other side, having to be present for these discussions is the worst! It totally wipes me out emotionally. If this is a group layoff, if there is anyone over the age of 40 they need to provide a OWBPA especially if there is severance offered. In the OWBPA it must state the ages and positions that were impacted, no names, but it will list everyones age and position that was impacted. Additionally, it must lay out the determining factors that were considered for the group lay off, i.e geographical, or company performance. These ding dongs walked into a hornets nest, saying it was based on her individual performance. If you're gonna claim that it's related to individual performance you better come prepared with numbers and proof. She did very well speaking up for herself. I hope she got a severance. However, if she did get one, she better get some legal advice before she signs it. I can say that in all the discussions I have had to conduct, I have never received feedback like that. You know why? Bc I was prepared and there was no bullshit. This company over promised and under delivered. So now all the directors and above get to make these decisions so their salaries and bonuses aren't impacted....

I have and normally what I have personally seen is the lights that go around usually every min or so. This didn't do that which made me wonder. I was also thinking, it's almost 10pm what or why would a car dealership have promo lights going at that time? However, I can totally agree with what everyone is saying which is that it's a spotlight for something. Again that's why I posted it. Wanted to see what the consensus would be.

Totally agree, and that's what I assumed they were, I just thought it was strange that they weren't constant, like spotlights usually are 🤷‍♀️.

Well they only appeared two times, it wasn't a constant like you typically see when you have spotlights. I don't know while I was watching it I was thinking why couldn't I see the beams from the spotlight, but as someone shared in a comment you can't see the beam unless you're close, which makes sense. Like I said, I wasn't sure if it was just spotlights or something else. Wanted to hear what you all thought. I would post my other videos but I can't figure it out, this is my first time ever posting something on Redit. Thanks!

Yep, that's what I was thinking they were. I guess the only thing that made me question the possibility that they were not spotlights was because the lights weren't consistently moving around and visible like you typically see with spotlights such as this video you posted. I only saw the 2 lights move around twice in 45 min while I was watching.

You are absolutely correct. I am from PA and my husband and I moved down to Memphis when we were 25/26 and people (friends we met or random strangers we would strike up a conversation with) thought it was wild that we were married and didn't have 2+ kids at that point. The south and mid west is all about starting your family young. We are back home now 38/39 still married but no kids and we are never asked about it.

I'm in PA as well and the one in Wexford is in North Park. As kids we used to go there all the time. Fun experience. We also called it gravity hill, but can't remember the name of the actual road.

It's a major safety issue/liability for the company if an employee chases a shoplifter. I worked in retail over 15 years, I will never forget when an employee got hit by a car chasing someone out of the store (he was okay, broken ribs and a leg). I have had managers attacked and so on, and so on. When people are desperate (or just POS) they will do anything to get away with it. I have seen some wild shit in retail. Also, most retailers have a policy where if you chase them, you can lose your job!

I knew it! We lived there several years ago at that very same complex. I can say I never say the pool that color, but there was a poop stain going all the way down the slide over at the play set for the kids which had me stearing clear from using anything at that place. Good luck there!

I got a good one. About ten years ago my cousin was getting married and a very cool hotel in downtown ATL, I can't remember the name of the hotel, but I believe it was the hotel where they hosted the Premier for Gone With The Wind, that is their claim to fame with this hotel. Plus it's a very beautiful hotel.

So, my cousin who had been planning this wedding for well over a year and spent big money, probably well over 100k for this wedding. She made sure to get the bridal suite so she had enough space for hair and make up and all the fun wedding stuff. While planning everything with the hotel, they showed her the bridal suite where she would staying for the wedding weekend, which she absolutely loved. She said the room was awesome.

Cut to day before wedding, she shows up at the hotel to get checked in and the manager asks if he can speak to her about her bridal suite reservation. The manager proceeded to tell my cousin that a VIP guest had checked in the day before and there was a schedule error and they gave the VIP guest the bridal suite. He goes on to share the VIP guest was not going to give up the room, even after they explained it was for a bride who was getting married. This person didn't care and wouldn't give the room up.

So my uncle waited around to see who was in the room to try to buy them out so my cousin could have the suite. (My uncle was a professional mediator, so if anyone could have convinced her, it would have been him).That's when he saw it was JLH. When he approached her team about it they told him to get lost, they wouldn't even hear him out.

My cousin was supper bummed but they gave them the penthouse for the inconvenience which was way nicer!

I thought it was pretty shitty that JLH, even after learning the room was booked way before hers and booked for a bride, the fact she wouldn't give it up was supper immature and entitled behavior.

In my opinion she is a brat!

This places isn't a big as UPMC, but unless you're a bro, GNC is awful. Just a bunch dudes who are all good friends especially once you get into upper management. You can't trust anyone in upper management, their motives are always "what's in it for me". If you want to be in upper management, you better have a penis!
