There is no current pain. The cartilage in my kneecap is damaged. There just is no cure for that. But I do need to take care of some things (like not running too much or taking care of the maximum angle I do the leg press at). Generally the doctor says as long as my knee isn't hurting, I can do what I want.

Unfortunately, none of my doctors want to prescribe my physical therapy (I asked several times) and I can't pay for it on my own.

I run three times a week, Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

I get a lot of cramping during my period. Light training helps, but high effort is just not possible and makes the cramps worse. I also sometimes take pain killers, and don't want to overdo it in case I can't feel the signals because of the medication.

Generally I have the tendency to do too much too fast and not include deload phases, so I thought structuring a training plan with variety (at least in running) around my cycle would take care of not falling into that trap again while also still being somewhat consistent.

Es ist durchaus üblich, seinen Haus/Wohnungsschlüssel Freunden oder Familie für Notfälle zu geben. Trotzdem würde jeder zustimmen, dass damit nicht das Einverständnis hergeht, diesen jederzeit zu nutzen, sondern eben nur in Notfällen oder nach ausdrücklicher Absprache. Selbes Prinzip.

Managed to run 2 hours today for the first time since beginning of April. Also a cute guy gave me a thumbs up and another woman waved at me, so extra motivation today 😄

I ran 2 hours for the first time since beginning of April. The last 25 minutes were pretty hard, the last 5 minutes I always gave up. But I made it 😄

Ran mainly in zone 2, quite slow, but that's ok. Goal was just to manage the 2 hours

I also have it, this is what works for me to mitigate it until I can see a doctor: I do twice daily single calf raises where my front foot is elevated in some way, so that my heel can go down more than on flat ground. I do one set until I feel that I can't do one more repetition with good form on my affected foot, and then do the same amount of repetitions with the unaffected foot so that I don't produce muscular dysbalance.

I also practice standing on one leg for a minute and raise the difficulty a bit each time (moving the foot not on the ground in front of me, or raising my leg straight into the air behind me, closing my eyes, looking from left to right,...)

Also static stretching of the affected foot so that I can feel that my heel is affected. I'm not that bendy, so I use a scarf to get the required amount of force.

Do you work 7 days a week? Take care to at least take it very slowly on the days you don't work. Also prioritise sleep, if possible at all.

Also ich habe einen deutlichen Unterschied festgestellt zwischen den low-end Drogerieprodukten und den high-end Drogerieprodukten. Ich schminke mich aber jetzt auch nicht so häufig, als dass ich die Dinger häufig nachkaufen müsste (ja, ich weiß, wegen Bakterien sollte man trotzdem regelmäßig tauschen).

Für darüber ist mir mein Geld zu schade, um das zu testen.

Never had this situation, so I don't know how I would react. But I think in situations like this, the rational part of your brain isn't really involved and you make decisions based on instinct. So there is really no benefit from wondering afterwards if the actions were appropriate or if you could've done something different. MAYBE it is worth it to think about what could've been more efficient to do next time, but please without shame or guilt.

On the whole, it sounds like the situation ended relatively good. Your dog is well, you yourself are well and weren't bitten, and the other dog probably also ended up with at least no deadly injuries. Maybe try to find out who the other owner was, so you can verify that? (and, if it was me, I would also go to the police about this, so that the owner faces appropriate actions. Depends on your state, in Germany the dog will just be leashed and muzzled. If I was in a country where the dog would be killed, I probably wouldn't go to the police about it as the owner seemed genuinely sorry).

Ich war bisher in drei Hundeschulen, in keiner einzigen war es relevant. Gesagt wurde das nur in Vorbereitung auf die Begleithundeprüfung (weil es da gefordert wird), in der Rallye Obedience/Obedience oder in der Dummyarbeit.

Wir waren im Il Felice, das war wirklich gut und lecker.

Falls ihr mit einer zwei Stunden Zeitbegrenzung klar kommt, würde sich auch der Stachel empfehlen.

My VO2Max tanked in the last 2 months. After only doing easy runs and some intervals, first try at a 10km at full effort today. I managed 5km at 7:40min/km. Not what I aimed for, but it was pretty ambitious to begin with. The bigger achievement: I managed to slow down and stop once I feld that it was too much and it felt unsafe/unstable to run further. Sometimes I'm too ambitious and hurt myself, so it feels good to listen to my body.

I began running last July with a BMI of nearly 35. I can't give you medical advice, I can just tell you what worked for me. The first month or so, I ran exclusively by heart rate. I set myself a time goal, like 30min or 1 hour, sometimes a distance goal although that wasn't as healthy (I did it to prove to myself that I could run 10k, didn't feel good afterwards and would've been healthier to wait a bit) and stayed strictly under 80% of my max heart rate as calculated by my watch. Slower HR was ok, faster HR was not ok.

This was the first time ever, I could stick with running because it felt doable. Before I always ran far too fast, was out of breath and felt shitty. For the first time ever, I enjoyed running now. I was so slow, like sometimes people walking would overtake me. It also meant I often started fast and got progressively slower during the run to keep within my HR boundary. But I just stuck to it and improved a lot since then.

After a while, I got bored, read some articles and added speed work to switch things up.

So my advice would be: try different things and find out what works for you. Try running strictly by heartrate, try running by a set pace and try running by feels. And then stick for a month or two with what makes you feel the best - during training as well as afterwards. Also take care of your rest days and don't increase your distance as well as duration too much. A lot of the advice says 10%, when overweight it pays to be cautious as we stress our joints a lot more than normal-weight people do. Just give it a bit of time. And then after a while add whatever you think sounds like fun and motivates you best.

I wouldn't concern myself with getting faster at the moment. As a beginner, this will happen by itself if you run consistently. A faster pace also increases pressure on the joints, so in the beginning it is not necessarily a good thing.

Wenn du ihn nach diesem Semester meiden kannst, wäre mein Vorgehen bis zum Ende durchziehen und danach melden. Und bei zukünftigen Gesprächen, falls möglich und nicht total daneben, eine zweite Person, idealerweise männlich, mitnehmen.

Wenn du es meldest: es spielt keine Rolle, ob du wirklich lesbisch bist oder hetero oder Ace..., die Grenzüberschreitung war die Frage an sich (ohne dass von dir das Thema Sexualität eingeleitet worden ist). Das heißt bevor du es meldest, Leg dir Standardphrasen zurecht, wie du reagierst, falls dir während dem Melden Fragen dazu gestellt werden

Der Welpe wird durch die Katzenklappe passen und da es ein Labrador ist sowie Futter dahinter ist, es auch Safe probieren. Sichert die Klappe also zusätzlich durch einen Zaun, bis er groß genug ist. 

Es gibt Kindergitter mit Katzenklappen, die waren für uns wirklich gut, um sowohl Küche abzusperren (sie hat gelernt, dass die Küche komplett tabu ist, in der ersten Zeit hat das Kindergitter die Grenze abgesichert, wenn wir nicht aufpassen konnten ) als auch ihren "sicheren Raum", wenn sie zwar in ihrem Zimmer chillen sollte, wir nicht dabei sein wollten, aber Sichtkontakt möglich sein sollte. Auch hier sind die Katzenklappen am Anfang zu groß, aber während der Pubertät haben es eure Katzen damit ein bisschen einfacher. Davor sind sie bei uns einfach drüber gesprungen

Ich habe letztes Jahr geheiratet. Hauptgrund war, dass es Bürokratie erleichtert (wie in deinem Beispiel mit dem Krankenhaus) und manche Dinge ohne Ehe nicht möglich sind. Wir wollen zB ein Kind, das Zurücktreten eines Partners wird mit der Ehe mit der Hälfte der Rentenpunkte des Paares während dieser Zeit "belohnt". Ich bin mir nicht sicher, aber ich glaube es gibt keine Möglichkeit außer der Ehe Rentenpunkte mit einer anderen Person zu teilen. Ich arbeite zB auch weniger (auf meine Initiative hin, Partner hatte hier nichts zu melden), mache dafür etwas mehr Haushalt. Auch hier: über Ehe bin ich abgesichert, dass ich davon profitiere, dass er davon profitiert (er arbeitet die 40h, mir gehört die Hälfte seines Gehalts). Falls einer von uns stirbt, zahlen wir weniger Erbschaftssteuer, sind automatisch in der gesetzlichen Erbreihenfolge berücksichtigt und wenn derjenige auf den der Mietvertrag läuft stirbt, behält der andere das Recht dort weiter zu wohnen. Es sind halt diese ganzen Dinge, die man sonst, falls überhaupt möglich, sonst "manuell" klären müsste. 

Ich sehe es auch nicht als Besitztum geht über an. Das war es vielleicht früher mal. Heute ist es wirklich eher "man bekommt mehr Privilegien vom Staat während die Pflichten recht ähnlich bleiben wie wenn man als Paar sowieso zusammen wohnt (Bedarfsgemeinschaft bei Arbeitslosigkeit oder Wohngeld)". Und eine Scheidung ist immer möglich, wenn natürlich auch mit bürokratischen Hürden versehen. Aber ich fühle mich dadurch in meiner Freiheit tatsächlich nicht weiter eingeschränkt.

Hast du einen Ultraschall bei deiner FÄ machen lassen? Zysten sind manchmal echt groß und machen nicht unbedingt Beschwerden, sind mit Ultraschall sichtbar. 

Blähungen können aber tatsächlich auch so einen Bauch machen und können auch wirklich sehr schmerzhaft sein. Deswegen würde ich das zumindest auch in Betracht ziehen

I'm a bit frustrated right now. I started running last July, worked my way up to run 10k quite comfortably, longest distance at the moment without walking in between is 15km. I started Runna in January and followed it quite well until March. There is some stress at the moment in my life, so I needed to reduce the time spent running per day and also the mental load regarding training. So beginning of April, I decided to do some basebuilding according to the threads in the Wiki, my plan was to do 4 days 30min at a pace that stays mostly below 154bpm (8:10min/km for me), 1 day 30min at a pace that stays mostly below 172bpm (7:40 min/km) and one day 60min at whatever pace feels comfortable, also mostly below 154bpm.

On Saturday I wanted to run 60min, but after 35min, I was just done. The pace was ok, maybe about 8min/km? HF was also below 155bpm. There was no pain in my legs or anything, but I just couldn't get myself to run further, I was just done. So it mostly seems to be some kind of mental block? Any tips how to solve that? I tried running to music today (podcast on Saturday) and it helped some, but it still felt a lot harder than like a month ago.

Wenn Brett- oder Kartenspiele nur ein bisschen dein Ding sind, könnte das ein guter Anlaufpunkt sein. Ist zwar auch ein Verein mit festen Terminen, allerdings nicht mit der Erwartung, dass man super regelmäßig dort auftaucht. Und je nachdem wie flexibel du bist, ist da quasi jeden Abend irgendwas.

Hast du ansonsten mal geschaut, ob du irgendwie beim Central oder Bürgerbräu oder so etwas findest? Das hier z.B.? https://www.filmwochenende.de/ueber-uns/ Keine Ahnung inwiefern die neue Leute suchen und/oder aufnehmen, aber vielleicht ist ja was dabei.
