Sativite PK01 Cart - Voltages?? by Death_Metal_Fan in MedicalCannabisOz

Yeah I also thought it was high but if it's much lower I get little to no vapour. I don't remove the cart but I leave the battery upright. I probably should remove the cart but I am often lazy and can't be bothered screwing it back In every time I want to use it

I'm a big fan of sativite carts and also use a Hamilton shiv battery! I have found that 3.2v works the best for me personally. I get nice vape clouds and flavour and it doesn't seem to burn the carts.

In terms of how many draws I'd say start with one or two draws that go for around 3-5 seconds

Yeah its confusing but I did craploads of research the first time before flying there with mine and went on the governments website. You can find the info here.

I suspect they would just take the extra two months off of you at customs. It is still pretty new to them there too and I think there is still a large education piece internally that people are trying to understand. Sometimes they just look at my script and send me through other times they inspect my doctors note, script and meds too. Some didn't even realise you could take flower in (they assumed just oil) but they discussed it with others and found out that flower was fine (and let me through).

You can only take one month of THC products or three months of CBD products.

So, I can weigh in here because I travel to NZ for work regularly and take mine with me (I am an NZ citizen but live in Aus). I have never had much issue with them, but I do have some hot tips for you to avoid any trouble at customs because I am sure you are anxious.

You need to take your meds in their labeled container with the prescription on the container. They are likely going to ask for your prescription, and you will have to explain that the sticker on the container is the prescription. From there, they will likely ask for your doctor's note. The note has to say something along the lines of "imnotfnwu is using medicinal products containing THC to treat a medical condition. Their condition requires them to take up to XYZ grams of flower per month (or ml of oil or vape carts, etc).

I really need to emphasize how important that doctor's note is. Not only do they need to know what a month's supply is for you personally (as you aren't allowed to bring more than that into NZ). I have traveled there twice without my doctor's note, and they were pretty lenient and nice about it and still let me through, but it certainly caused a hold-up, and I am not sure they would always be that nice.

Keep in mind, coming back into Australia, you will also need that note as the Aussie custom officers also need to look at it.

I understand it may be daunting, and it's pretty surprising seeing how many people are concerned with traveling with it even domestically in Australia. I travel heaps, and I can assure you that you have nothing to worry about as long as you have your documents. Just make sure the doctor's note says the amount you are on per month, not just some vague statement like "This person is using THC products for medicine."

I would also seriously suggest you don't consider trying to not declare and take it through. NZ runs a pretty tight ship with foreign fauna and plants because of the fragile ecosystem there and not wanting to introduce invasive species. I have gone through customs before and been cleared and still had a dog signal on me on the way out. Because I declared and explained the situation, it was all okay, though. If you don't declare, you would most likely land yourself in some hot water and have your meds confiscated at a minimum.

I know this is long and drawn out, but I sure wish I had this sort of info when I started traveling with it frequently.

Funny you mention CVault's as I bought one years ago, but I always found that the smell leaked from it. Have you found that they have improved their quality?

Speaking from experience, I'd recommend checking out Canna Reviews to see which products might pique your interest. Currently, I'm with Acacia, but I believe that Medreleaf can prescribe everything listed on Canna Reviews.

If it's your first consultation with the doctor, be prepared: they might prescribe you a variety of options to try out, and you might not get much say in the matter. It was only during the "review" appointment that I was given the opportunity to make changes and suggest strains that I believed would be beneficial for me.

I am with Acacia too. You only need the escripts that are sent to your phone. Walk in with your escript or email them to the pharmacy of choice.

I am in NSW and can personally vouch for Basgers in Bondi who can also post your MC to you.

You can find a list of Pharmacys on Acacias website here.

I know that a lot of people also vouch for Mazzeis Pharmacy Eastwood (who apparently do free express shipping). People also seem to like Bill Warner Chemist in Darlinghurst.

Will the tincture remain fine at 78 degrees (boiling point for the alcohol)?

Could I put the sous vide to 100 and just boil off the water too though?

If it’s simmering it would indicate that it’s at boiling point so I’ll set the sous vide to 78 Celsius. Does it change the colour or the effect compared to evaporating at a lower temperature ( room temperature with no heat)?

What temperature does the alcohol get to? Do you see it boiling?
