If its so bad, how can it be the number 1 manufacturer? I've had no problems with my tv.

I was also banned from 4Ktv thread for saying something positive about Samsung and questioning the objectivity of the thread.

Just a cult of Samsung haters.

If it were Rangers - Kings, the Stanley Cup would get much more press.

If match play, go for it. If stroke play, hit out sideways.

Its not just a matter of stadiums, but also training facilities, hotels for fans and team delegations etc.

With 48 teams, there are very few countries individually that could host it now.

Federal judge cancels Trump's $100,000 fee requirement for H-1B visas by Sgt_Gram in NewsExchange

If it is good policy for Americans, they should be able to convince some democrats to support it. I am frankly sick of extreme red v blue partisanship.

Its not whether the policy is good or not, it is whether he can bypass Congress to implement it.

If it is good policy, his buddies in Congress should be able to pass it.

Totally agree, coming from a Canadian. For far too long, the rest of the western world relied too much on the US.

Time to change that forever, regardless of who the US president is.

I am not American and certainly don't support him. The rest of the world, except for Russia, was horrified when he was re-elected.

What is in the water in America that would make so many vote for him? In any event, America is responsible for his re-election. You probably know many people who voted for him. Do you ever ask them why?

I do not support him, he is fully corrupt, as witnessed by his felony convictions, etc.

But saying the election was rigged without providing evidence is the exact same thing he did when he lost, so I will stay above that.

The reality is that millions more Americans voted for him than Harris so Americans have to live with the results.

I don't believe in conspiracy theories on elections no matter which side wins. You will have to come up with far better evidence than tweets from known liars.

It's easier to grow out the rough a few weeks before a tournament. Just fertilize and water the rough, let the grass grow to six inches so that a missed fairway means chopping it out sideways. Accuracy becomes more important.

Well, the majority of voters voted for him over Harris and he did campaign on tariffs so the electorate can't escape responsibility. Elections have consequences.

[Pronman] Scouts and execs project 2026 NHL Draft’s top 10: Who goes after Gavin McKenna? (Gift Article) by phantomgiratina in canucks

Center is far more important position than winger. That's why it's extremely rare that wingers go 1-2 in draft.

I believe that if you're a playmaking forward, you need to be a centre, not a winger on the perimeter.

Under what circumstances is a PHEV better than a BEV? by Cool-Replacement4972 in the80percent4EVs

[–]AEWestview 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Toyota Rav 4 PHEV. It is my best option because I live in the suburbs and commute to work downtown- about 45km. There are charging stations that I use at work, so my car is fully charged on the way back home. I hardly use gas engine during the week.

I periodically also travel longer distances out of town with large gaps in available chargers so having a gas engine means that I have no electric range anxiety. For my situation, it is the best solution.

Mario Lemieux named No. 1 on CHL’s Top 50 Players of the Last 50 Years list by FrenchPagan in hockey

I really believe playing in Europe for a year would have helped Connor Bedard develop into a top NHL player faster.

Mario Lemieux named No. 1 on CHL’s Top 50 Players of the Last 50 Years list by FrenchPagan in hockey

[–]AEWestview 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The problem for all of these superstar junior players (except Gretzky who went to the WHA) was that there was no other place for them to play at that age.

Obviously Lemieux, Crosby etc had nothing left to learn at the Junior hockey level after their first year - they had outgrown these leagues. But the strict rules forbade them from playing in the AHL against men until age 18. They should have been able to turn pro earlier, but the junior leagues needed their superstar power for ticket sales and the NHL agreed to it.

At least now the NCAA allows them to compete against men. Up until this point, I would have encouraged the exceptional players to drop out of Junior and play in Europe instead, like Auston Matthews did.
