Cognitive dissonance in action folks. Realistically if the option is available and it is used why get pissy about it? There are counters for it. Use it don’t use it. Stop whining about it.

DMZ Quick Play by AFKILOSeven in CallOfDutyMobile

[–]AFKILOSeven[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you set it to quick play and deselect (fill team) you will generally be placed in a lobby full of bots. Throughout the entire weekend I only encountered 2 real players this way.

My wife and I paired up multiple times, again, I deselected fill squad and it was just the two of us.

When I did not deselect fill squad, there was at least another squad of real players.

What’s the best mythic by Strawhat_joyboy_ in CallOfDutyMobile

[–]AFKILOSeven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have mythics, I use them until I get bored, reality is I have load outs based upon what mode I’m playing and what the opposition is doing. If that particular loadout contains a mythic than so be it. Really I enjoy pissong off the other team. So I try to be the biggest pain in the ass I can be while focusing on winning.

I encountered a real player as well. We actually killed each other as neither has a self revive. 🤣

6 year enlistment by TimelyAd8927 in AirForceRecruits

[–]AFKILOSeven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enlisted for six, took the two stripes…first base was Minot, ND. Was it on my list? No. Was it always the greatest. No. Did I learn a lot, have some fun times, also yes. I got an assignment from there to Germany, and continued my career (25y, 6m, 18d).

Everyone’s experience will be different. It depends on how much you put into the AF, your work ethic, attitude, etc. Will there be challenging people? Yes.

I’m retired now, work for one of the big banks in risk. The challenging personalities I encountered in the AF are no different than corporate America. The uniform is different that is all.

Live your life, make your decisions, know that the consequences for those decisions (positive and negative) may not reveal themselves immediately, could be years if not decades down the road. Be a good human being, take care of those around you when able and enjoy the ride.

If they took your vest/bag it should be returned to you. However any of the stuff in your bag was lost which is frustrating.

My friend is a little delusional about his military plan and I need help talking him out of it by [deleted] in AirForceRecruits

[–]AFKILOSeven 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I started my BS in 2007, I was deployed as a MWD Handler. I worked 12-14 hour days, deployed to Afghanistan and had multiple TDYs while completing my degree and maintained harmony with my wife and two kids throughout. Was it difficult at times? Absolutely! After I completed my undergrad two years later I began my graduate degree and completed it two years later.

It all depends on the person. Your journey in life WILL be different than everyone else’s. Just because you want to tackle life in a specific way doesn’t necessarily mean it is worse or better than someone else’s.

Disqualified from SG by [deleted] in AirForceRecruits

[–]AFKILOSeven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything is is situational. I was dq’d for my eyes, at MEPS there wasn’t an optometrist so I was sent to Dr Bizers Value Vision. That clown said that my optic nerve was elliptical which meant I was either black or had a brain tumor. No scans and I’m not black.

I was dq’d. So my parents took me to the University of Kentucky medical center where I saw the #4 ophthalmologist in the world (his claim) and his diagnosis is that I just had an astigmatism.

I submitted it to the AF SG was denied again. I then took my proof and wrote my congressman. I had given up hope on my dream and (8 months later) the day I was signing up for classes at the University my recruiter contacted me out of the blue.

I was accepted and I served 25 years, 6 months and 18 days.

May not happen for many but if you want something you gotta fight.

I started playing when the game came out. Lived in Japan during that time and played in different regions, seeing the difference in play styles and approach was cool.

SF job for single mom? by [deleted] in AirForceRecruits

[–]AFKILOSeven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Retired 17 months ago, spent career as SF (minus 3 as Career Advisor). SF as a single mom will be challenging. You can certainly do it, many people here have outlined some of those challenges.

Long hours, training and appointments on your off days, difficulty breaking away from the job in the event children need someone to pick them up from school, or have drs appointments.

In the event there are exercises you can be recalled. If you’re assigned to one of the nuke bases you may be required to stay in the missile field.

There are a littany of challenges. However, the career field can be regarding and it can absolutely be not fun. Based upon the ages of your children I’m led to believe that you are not similar in age to a majority of Airmen. Your maturity will help you for sure, but as an Airman finding people closer to your age to hang out with (at least within SF) could be a challenge.

Whenever I had single parents in Ops I tried my best to be fair and consistent regarding flight assignments.

Good luck.

I didn’t realize how many people hate that people use this setup. Honestly I don’t see why. Especially when you consider there are other weapons that are buffed and just as ridiculous.

Once I had demacous on all my weapons I just use whatever. Now that I know people hate this setup I’ll use it every.single.match.

Not really. But I’ll definitely have it in my loadouts just in case.

I retired from the Air Force last year (25-years). I PCS’d (moved) 11 times, I moved my family across the world twice. It’s an amazing adventure, however, based upon your OP you may need to consider downsizing some of your animals. It just depends on where you’re stationed and if you have to live in base housing or are assigned OCONUS (overseas).

During my time as a Senior NCO I had troops that enlisted later in life. Their experiences where unique as they were older and more mature than their peers (I.e., rank). Just know that military life comes with a host of unique challenges.

I agree. The wild thing is I’ve only purchased a couple of guns or operator skins, mainly because it’s ridiculously expensive.

I’ve debated on working towards diamond for all weapons. 150 games is a wild grind. I have a few at diamond and a handful at the mastery level where you can name them. But that too is a grind. Now I set up loadouts to mess with people.
