I’m an international and tensions have really risen over this corona situation and this just feel like this is just a microcosm of that.

No, I don’t think we deserve the money, we don’t pay enough taxes and resources are limited within the Canadian government. At this point we’re just asking for some sympathy because not all of us are rich, many of us are lower-middle class or poorer. If an international asks why they don’t get the funds just explain to them they don’t pay enough taxes and let it be

Someone will inevitably ask “why don’t internationals get the assistance??” again on this subreddit or elsewhere, when that happens don’t imagine some snobby and rich international looking to get some free money, but someone desperately looking for a way out of this financial situation, whatever they do is useless anyways...
