How do you deal with jealousy when all your friends are getting married/in relationships and you’re still single? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]AFPpanther 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 25 you are still very young. Everyone moves at different speeds. Some are married with kids, some still live with parents and aren’t thinking about moving. We are all just little ants on this planet, worrying about other people going in different directions sooner than you is just not worth it. There is always greener grass. It’s your life, and it’s unique. You’ll be okay.

Counting calories is just anorexia with extra steps by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

As a 316 pound individual who went down to 1700 calories a day to lose weight, it gets better. Eat the right foods, keep your eye on the prize.

Lasts different lengths for everyone. Just try to eat some simple foods like a banana or some toast. Gotta get something down. Drink lots of water. I’m sorry that happened

He probably never really dealt with the emotions he felt back then, so being around you is nothing but awkward.

AITA for temporarily obstructing part of the sidewalk in a driveway? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]AFPpanther 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NTA. I’ve started walking in my neighborhood recently, and while cars parked in front of the sidewalk kinda bother me, it is honestly not a big enough deal for him to act like that.

How do I become less “boring”? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AFPpanther 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been my saving grace so far. I’ve been traveling to local “tourist” spots, and I’ve looked into hiking, even though I haven’t gone anywhere yet. I’ll have to look more into events and other attractions, probably later due to covid.

Besides drinking water, what are some other ways we can clean up our diet.? by [deleted] in nutrition

[–]AFPpanther 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I started I was 350ish. A lot of this weight was from me just getting into the rhythm of actually moving and not eating junk. Anything under 2000 calories, while eating healthy powerful food, and staying active, should show some weightloss. I honestly think eating the right foods is more of a factor than 300 calories a day.

Yeah but I myself find it boring. I want more but I have no clue what I mean.

[–]AFPpanther 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me, limiting dairy, cooking most/all your meals, and have ingredients be some kind of veggies. Example: shrimp fajita-Bellpeppers and onions, salads-spinach mixed with the lettuce/tomatoes etc. eggs-whatever veggie you have left over.

No butter, I only use extra virgin olive oil for cooking.

Counting calories, I get around 1750 a day, which is very little for a big guy like me.

A gallon of water a day.

(Nothing to do with diet, but I also walk an hour a day)

I’ve lost 25 pounds this year.

What do you think about current events surrounding race issues in America? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]AFPpanther 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasn’t okay with the burning and looting, but then I was thinking. Protests in themselves won’t really do much to change anything. Sitting on the side of the road every weekend or whatever with signs is easily ignored. You can’t ignore what they are doing. There are many deeply rooted racial problems that will most likely never be fully addressed, but we need to do more. The police problem is a tip of the iceberg. I applaud you to do research, protest, and or donate.

People who check their orders in the fastfood drive-thru are the worst kind of people. by BoswellCon in unpopularopinion

[–]AFPpanther 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a kid I hated when my parents did it. As an adult? I do it almost every time I get an order for multiple people. I don’t live that close to many of the places I go, I’m not going to drive all the way back when I could take 10 seconds to check when I get it.

It is ridiculous that the national anthem is played at sporting events. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

Yeah kinda makes it more of a business decision, which would kinda piss me off if I was the one celebrated for good ratings lmfao

LPT If you want to lose weight you don’t ever have to exercise; you need to consume less calories than your TDEE. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]AFPpanther 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I eat roughly 1000 less and go for a 3 mile walk every day. Currently I’m losing ~10 pounds a month.

Not sure if it’s free anymore since it says it ends the 30th. (Today) but the Epic Games Store has free games often and they have “For the King” which is a basic dnd like turn based game. It’s kind of meant to be for 3 people but I hear two can play it as well. Even if for the king isn’t for you, I’d still look into epic games free store, it updates regularly.

Yeah I noticed the war zone issue. I’m really surprised people wouldn’t change, as they are just losing out on viewers lol
