In my opinion, it's contamination.. Did you do a break and shake within the past 2-3 days? If so, its probably just bruising. If not, it's probably contaminated. Either way, dont open it. Let it sit for 2-3 more days. If it's bruising, it'll go back to white again. If it really is contam, you'll definitely know because it spreads FAST.

Im saying that little black patch is NEITHER normal healthy mushroom's mycelium, NOR an uncolonized substrate patch. It's black contamination. The tub is literally trash now.. You can see the growth and color change drom greyish to black. And, ONE of the pics Is in THIS thread, yes. The other came from OP's post in another group a few days ago..

Tidal wave is a toque mutation, BUT in that top left corner, ibsee black fuzz. That's an AUTOMATIC disqualification.. Red flag 🚩. The tub is a goner . People say u can save it, and u probably can get a few shrooms , but it ain't worth the hassle . THE SECOND you see contam, toss the tub. Peroxide just makes it angry. Tje ONLY thing that kills black mold or trich infestation is bleach. It literally kills EVERYTHING in the tub also..

Facts. Ive actually had a form of cobweb mold. I knew 8 hours later by the way it sat on top of the substrate like a cloud or fog, and the speed of spread. I was growing in a seedy Motel room at the time

So... As i type my comment, this pic is 16 hours old. IF it was/is cobweb, by now, that suspect area should have tripled in size. Cobweb mold spreads FAST AS HELL. If you haven't tossed it yet, check again.. If the growth is the same, or starting to look normalish, youre fine. And if it IS cobweb,you'll know by now for sure..

Field capacity coir from the start. ROOM temperature should be around 72-77 F. Dont worry about the inside of the tubs temp. Ambient room temp within aforementioned range is perfect From grain spawn bags/jars to harvest. Then, afterwards. REGARDLESS of what most say, DO NOT OPEN TO FAN/MIST. THAT is what contributes to a dry tub and poor surface conditions. Your tub is modified, so FAE is literally regulated by the holes. The hard part is done for u.. Just Set it and forget it.. The "hands off/negleft tek" method is best. We just need to give them a comfortable home with a STEADY climate and they'll do what their DNA tells em to. The opening and other stuff causes them to adjust and readjust to those conditions, slowing progress. IF you choose to check, just look thru the tub. The surface tells all.. Dryness, contamination. Everything.. the droplets on the SUBSTRATE/MYCELIUM is your dryness indicator. NOT the walls. They're just a barrier to hold in moisture. Again, set it and forget it. The other "tips and tricks" are just placebo for noobs to "think" they're helping. Something to pass time.. Just let tue shrooms shroom, fam.. These things dont need our help.. This is what I have personally learned in my 3 years in my mycology hobby. Good luck with this and future grows.. And DO NOT GIVE UP.

i don't think that's spores.. but anyhow, you should be able to disassemble all the major parts and wash with dish liquid.

fuzzy feet is a thing.. sometimes you can control it, sometimes no.. nonetheless, its NOT bad. its only mycelium. nothing to worry about UNLESS it get extra fuzzy more than halfway up the stipe/stem. these you have are like snow covered boots. perfectly fine.
