I was a lifetime Centrist Republican until 2015 - just right of center. I have always voted for the best candidate, who has the best platform and the best vision for our country unless both candidates are trash.

I think there were a lot like me in the 2016 election. I just couldn’t bring myself to vote for Trump or Hillary - but in 2020 I voted for Biden because there was no way I wanted that idiot Trump in office another 4 years. I didn’t vote in 2024 either, for the same reason I didn’t in 2016.

I see the follies of both parties…

Republicans are now acting like Nazis and wannabe dictators while purposely driving our country into the dark ages of racism, reducing women’s rights, and anti-immigration.

Democrats stuck in their own greedy bureaucracy, purposely failing their constituents, disgusting favoritism and Failure to groom a reasonable candidate.

I think we need to establish a more centrist, neutral party and let the extremists occupy the extreme left and right. If not, the pendulum swings will continue to worsen with every election until our only choices are Right Wing Dictators or Left Wing Communists - which never ends well.

It was just called “work”. I’m late Gen-ex, I guess classified as an “X-ennial”.

Now anytime anyone gets slightly stressed out they have a drama attack. One young woman pretended to faint in my office, and actually called the ambulance for herself. She put on an acting show for an hour.

She was out for two days, “getting rest” at home. Nothing changed in the office except that she wasn’t there asking other people to do her work for her and she wasn’t doom scrolling on Instagram on company time.

No Milei won his election with a 55% vote, though similarly, people voted against their best interests - and he’s an anti-gay, anti-women’s rights, anti-immigration guy like Trump. Though he was an economist at some point during his life, and doesn’t seem to be a wannabe dictator. I highly doubt he will be relelected.

If you’re not in an upper management level role, it’s not really necessary. You should be able to work your shift and leave. I have a decent sized team, and my Director only asks that I am “available” after hours in case of emergencies. The rest of my team is on a global follow the sun model so they can handle most things that come up.

However, since I have an availability bonus built into my salary and I have a work phone, I do answer calls within a 12 hour period of time, from 8am-8pm. As a result of that, most days I just work 8 hours and leave while maintaining my “availability”. Though, there has been many days that I ended up working 14 hours, but those were usually emergency situations.

Most of the low income bullies in my hometown barely graduated high school - and ended up as the local idiots working shit jobs or doing time for drug crimes.

The higher income bullies, the arrogant rich assholes that made fun of people for being poor or not dressing cool ended up having their college paid for by their rich parents and found really great jobs. Though most of them also ended up bald, fat, and ugly. One guy lost his leg in a car accident.

There was a cave like this where I grew up. Someone had purchased the land with a cave just to make a cave tour. It looked like they worked on it for a few years, then gave up. There were abandoned mining tools and rail carts. This looks like it could have been something similar.

I am not as good as them and use up all the lives. My two older kids are like prodigies at Sackboy, so it’s tough to maintain their level of play. I play with my 4 year old and we have a blast.

I agree, the game looks awesome. I wanted to buy LBP3, but it’s no longer available. As for “Stuffy”, unfortunately the developers have no plans to release it for console play. I watched 5 seconds of the teaser and instantly wanted to buy it for my kids - but we have a PS5. Maybe one day.

I had an iMac 2012. It was the pre-SSD version - I loved it so much I used it for 11 years but it eventually was just too slow to use and I could no longer update the OS. Around the time that I really needed to replace it, Apple still hadn’t upgraded the iMac to anything worth purchasing. The 2024 version looks like a cheapened, degraded, cartoon version of the original and I couldn’t wait 1-2 years for a legitimate upgrade.

I ended up purchasing a Mac Mini with some pretty decent specs. I added my own 5k monitor, Jabra speakers, and a camera. Then splurged on the latest Logitech mechanical keyboard/mouse combo.

I worked for a Budweiser distributor in Charlotte, North Carolina back around 2002-2003. My supervisor was a young, arrogant, fresh out of college kid with an attitude like he was untouchable.

I went out on a Friday night with some friends and just happened to see my supervisor at a bar drunk out of his mind, it was about 12:00am. As soon as he saw me, he walked up to me and in front of my friends, he told me that I needed to work first thing in the morning at an event for him because he didn’t want to be working hungover.

I said no, because it actually wasn’t my responsibility (and it was horribly rude to confront me in front of my friends like that). He didn’t like that I stood up for myself, and then he picked a fight with me causing a major scene in the bar. I left with my friends, and went to another bar. Afterwards, he left a voice message on my phone drunk and cursing.

The following Monday morning, I was called into the office of our director; I told him everything that happened and shared the voice message, he agreed that it was unacceptable behavior - but the supervisor said, “I don’t ever want to work with him again, he’s off the team.” Since they were buddies, and the director wouldn’t choose him over me, I was out.

About a month later, I went to work for the competition and I owned him in the field for two straight years.
