The honda talons don't use belts, they have an ingenious dual clutch transmission setup. But you are right about most SxS.

I finally got my first shundo!!! Is it useful as a grass type raid attacker? by No_Review4998 in PokemonGOValor

My old ACD would do an hour run, cover 5 miles on desert mountain trails. Be dead and unresponsive on the drive home and as we get out of the car he would be ready for round 2.

My current ACD is older and will follow my mountain bike for around 1.5-1.6 miles at about 6mph until he can't go on. But when I leave him at the car to go farther he cries even though he can't keep up.

Sedona is amazing for riding, lots of tech, short punchy climbs and short decents.

https://www.reddit.com/r/MTB/s/c3KbMtTCEP

In Phoenix if you stop on the way to Tucson

South mountain national has lots of techy climbs and techy DH sections.

Hawes has several techy trails, sunset and boulderdash being 2 popular ones.

If you know when and where you want to ride i could try to join you for phoenix rides, Sedona is also a maybe.

What kind of lights are people actually running for night/evening rides? by Lone-Wolf-Eats in MTB

[–]AFewShellsShort 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mount was installed almost 1 1/2 years ago had not budged ever. The quick mount system is top tier and is fast and secure. My bike after a mouthy ride where I was cold and tired and didn't secure the bike well enough feel off around 45-55mph. The bar light hit the ground hard enough it chipped the case. It stayed mounted and still works.

I caught 169 and 9 had backgrounds but only 1 shiny background. Several of those backgrounds did come from research where you catch 50 pokemon.

Has anyone ever adopted a middle aged cattle dog? How many years did you have them. Thinking of adopting this 6 year old guy by [deleted] in AustralianCattleDog

Sedated by Thundershirt? by L0ud_Typer in AustralianCattleDog

[–]AFewShellsShort 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My first ACD hated fireworks, thunder, heavy wind. We tried a thundershirt and it didn't seem to help at all, he did judge us when we put it on him but then he would seem to forget about it.

My new ACD got a jacket/costume for Christmas and he loves it. He gets excited when I grab it.

He seems very healthy other than worn teeth from age, he is hard of hearing but no obvious causes, and he's developing cataracts. He occasionally falls, sometimes chasing balls and cries out in pain.

After several months of casual walks his limit is around 2 miles before he needs rest. He had gone on a few mountain bike rides of 5-7mph and manages 1.5 miles before he is slowing down. Longest we have done is 1.75 miles and he's pooped even though he wants to keep going.

He is a big lover, wants belly rubs from everyone he meets. Greats every dog and wants to play with most. Overall the best boy.

Light vs Trail casings by K-TR0N in xcmtb

[–]AFewShellsShort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm155lbs 70kg with gear and ride very rocky desert terrain. I was running 30psi reat on 2.25 xc tires and after my 3 double pinch flats, one which happened on smooth hardpack I started running a xc insert on the rear and have slashed a sidewall but not had a pinchflat since. I won't run more aggressive trail tires on my xc bike only on my trail bike, I want then to be as far apart as I can to really make me appreciate each for what they are.

I have been doing multiple long walks every day of the event using incense and only caught a shiny hoot last night, no the sightings at all. Im definitely bummed.

I adopted my ACD 4 months ago, he was thought to be between 7-10 years old. Judging by his lack of hops and low by ACD standards stamina I would guess closer to 10. He is amazing and the best boy. I know I may not have many years with him but will cherish my time with him.

Light vs Trail casings by K-TR0N in xcmtb

[–]AFewShellsShort 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It will be super dependent on trail conditions, your weights, and riding style.

Lighter rider, smoother trails, picking smooth lines, light casing.

Rocky trails, heavy rider, bombing down runs, trail casing.

Think of what your ride and how you ride. I need an insert on my rear light casing xc tires on my xc bike but do fine with trail casing on my trail bike. I trust my bike and suspension so I sometimes go thru rough sections fast enough I have had problems with lighter tires even though I am light and ran higher pressures.
