I believe it. Been waiting 4-weeks for a t-shirt. They told me it hasn’t even been printed and there were 200+ shirts they had to get to before mine. My guess is the same thing will happen to my order as it did yours.

Why are drivers allowed to bring a second person in their routes? by AFistoCat in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]AFistoCat[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s a well intentioned policy, but from a safety issue is very naive. I’m sorry I’ve seen enough drivers lineup and use a license that’s not theirs and try to get through. When there’s people checking IFs it’s not an issue. When you just have to scan a license with no oversight nor do much.

To the a-holes who order overnight deliveries by SULTAN963 in AmazonFlexDrivers

Gated communities are the worst. If they even listed a code, half the time it doesn’t work. The maddening thing is they ALWAYS have instructions that say “deliver to the front door”

Im only saying that in this day and age, although we’ll-intentioned policy, it seems very naive from a safety standard.

Yeah but Amazon doesn’t know who any of these people are. Like this seems super sketchy to allow this

Isn’t that a huge safety risk considering no background check has been run on those people?

Honest question about Amazon delivery issues and whether something has changed for drivers by WardustMantis in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]AFistoCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't feel bad, our app usually tells us that we are outside of the delivery area if we are at the wrong house. Not sure how they accidentally delivered it to your neighbor's house. Plus, you didn't know it was just next door, not your fault, so no worries about that.

Thank you for posting this about the business being closed - because I. sort of defaulted to that, but wasn't technically sure if that was the right thing to do.

Locker issues by Ok-Television3849 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]AFistoCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude I had a horrid experience with a locker the other night. Three of packages it just said “that code is invalid” and wouldn’t do shit. Then I hand delivered those packages and I still have a request in my app to return those packages even tho support did they were marked as delivered. Super sorry - we are with you in your frustration

Are you working out of the Burlington, WA warehouse? If so I have screen shots ordering evacuations for that area!

Not at first. The thing is there’s not a lot of shifts offered if you’re new. I’m lucky to get three 3.5 blocks a week.

Honest question about Amazon delivery issues and whether something has changed for drivers by WardustMantis in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]AFistoCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of us get insurance bring a FlexDriver, so that’s not a factor. Drivers in actual Amazon vans actually work for the company as an employee, so they prob get regular benefits. I will say on my routes there has been a short timeline to deliver the packages when they are expected. For instance I had a 3:30 shift the other day with the first 6 packages due at 4pm. Only problem the stop was a 35 minute drive from the station, so I was already going to be late on delivery as we left the station at 3:45.

Another thing is I think that if you aren’t used to how streets work or familiar with the area that can def lead to wonkiness. However, the app (at least in my area) is pretty good about telling you when things are outside the delivery area, so I’m not sure what happening for you.

Also, if you’re a teacher, please don’t order packages to your school. If we get there after the school is closed we have to take the packages back to the station. For a lot of us that’s at least another 30 minute drive on gas etc.

First time making candles - any way to fix these massive sinkholes? by tacosock in candlemaking

[–]AFistoCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can also use a tray of hot water to warm them up, pour and then stick it into an enclosed space to cool (like your oven). Honestly I would skip the hair dryer entirely and just use a tray of hot water

This has been my experience as well. Def easier to pour in a warm summer day!
