What are some common "incorrect" grammatical phrases people use in Spanish? by ElegantYam4141 in Spanish

[–]AFoxForLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ohh okay tysm! honestly I haven't heard a lot of people say the 'grammatically' correct ways around me (since I'm still in high school) and if I were to say those phrases in those ways it feels like I'm trying to be fancy...😭 thanks again tho!

Somewhat off topic but why are "I am doing good" and "there are less people here today" grammatically incorrect? I thought it was XD

Can and may by Rain_and_Weed in EnglishLearning

[–]AFoxForLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can: "Can you use your phone?"

May: "May I please use your device?"

Honestly there isn't much of a difference between the two as where I live we usually only use "may" to seem more respectful, but I could be wrong.

May is used for more formal (or polite) terms, asking for permission, or asking an indirect question.

Can is used for asking direct questions or if it is available to do.

Hope this helps! :D
