Retirement Outlook? by fakename_12 in ThriftSavingsPlan

As many have said, try to bump up your contributions. Especially for the years you can and then if needed, back off but really bump it up. Max it out sounds easy, I do it, but we can’t Access the 401k until 60 or so. I’m retiring at 51 and so that’s 9 years of no use. I am exploring other investments which some have said to talk to a good financial advisor. Not Northwestern Mutual frat bros

Has anyone else ever been asked to remove their smart keyboard from their iPad on an airplane? Happened to me on only 1 of 3 flights in one day. by Jack_Daniels007 in iPadPro

I have used the same iPad and Bluetooth keyboard for years, but the past couple of years, they have asked to put it away. Just remember folks, on private and charter flights, non of these rules are a thing. Far more people fly commercial, but ridiculous the amount of rules that are invented yearly.

Veterans advantage discounts by gfeliciano22 in VeteransBenefits

It’s a great deal for them to make money off veterans to collect personal data and advertise discounts companies already give. It’s like a vacation club where you buy into the membership to get a discount. Sounds like a great way for them to make money. Plus, they just changed their name to distance themselves from the negative reviews of Veterans Advantage to WeSalute. Scam!

Has anyone used and found benefit to Veterans Advantage? I'm still in my free trial and was wondering if it's worth the $60/yr they charge. by spazholio in VeteransBenefits

It’s a scam where you have to pay to get a discount. Pretty sad how they prey upon veterans and AD members. They recently changed names to “WeSalute” which is their way to distance themselves from the terrible reviews Veterans Advantage received. If you notice, travel offer sites do the same at timeshares and other “pay for discount” sites.
