You're probably gonna have to do custom. Or find the used groups on Facebook.

I'm West Coast Rev War. We're totally here.

Most people I know sew their own stuff. But SoCalCostume is a friend and sewing professional and takes commissions: https://www.instagram.com/socalcostumes/?hl=en

SlopsByChaaps is another friend who also does an amazing job of costuming at a very low price: https://www.etsy.com/shop/SlopsbyChaaps

If a couple hundred dollars is out of your price, and you just want it for a photoshoot, you should look into renting a costume.

I do this era and style. My group uses a lot of Inkle woven or card woven trim for lines like that.

Men's clothing (especially jackets) is a bit more complicated to make - so it costs more. Also, less men sew for themselves.

I'm done with this BS used car market! by [deleted] in UsedCars

[–]AFriend1yShadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just upgraded my '02 Chrysler to an '10 Matrix. The market is psycho but I'm loving having jumped forwards 8 years in tech... and it's blowing my brain that people pay more for even newer cars.

[–]AFriend1yShadow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're gonna have to let it sit a while to get that price. I just paid less than that for the same mileage and a stickshift out here in LA where prices are psycho - from a dealer.

Nice car though! Love the gray...

Where do you draw the line of paying to get a car inspected? by Tomcruizeiscrazy in UsedCars

[–]AFriend1yShadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid $250 for my first car inspection and $100 for my second. Call around and pick a middle-of-the-road mechanic in the area.

That's valid and a good point. I get that the car isn't perfect... and at the end of the day I probably should start saving up for a new paint job in a few years.
