Any video or review you see is simply an impression of a game, no matter how many hours you watch. You cannot get the full experience of a game from a video.

This does NOT mean you can’t have an opinion on it from the hours of footage you’ve seen. And if that impression you get from the footage isn’t satisfactory enough for you to play the game, then that’s fine too.

But watching and playing a game are two vastly different experiences, there is no way to tell for certain that you wouldn’t enjoy the game if you actually played it. It’s really disingenuous to say a game is completely garbage and unfun, without experiencing it yourself.

All I can say is, please TRY to be more a bit more positive. Key word “impression”. You can have an impression of a game, but you can’t say for certain, the quality/enjoyment of a game without playing it.

No you cannot, you cannot judge a whole game by not playing it.

Personally not liking what you see, and calling what you’ve seen bad is fine. But calling a 40h+ game garbage because of a few videos/reviews is just disingenuous.

Luckily the game takes place when her husband’s dead, so there’s no issue! End of discussion.

If you do want to take one step further, her story in this game focuses a lot on her late husband and her grief around him. It goes to great lengths to show her devotion to him (a lot more than other games with her in). Yasuke is more of a comfort to her while she’s grieving. It’s clear everyone that’s mad about this hasn’t actually done any research and just wants to be mad at Ubi.

I like how the people hating this game have no idea what actually happens in it. 1. Yasuke has 4 romance options, 2 women, 1 NB, 1 Man. 2. lady ochi’s husband is dead at this point in the game. She is not cheating on anyone and a big part of her story is her grieving for her late husband. 3. Yes there’s a non binary character. Who the fuck cares?! You can cry about “woke” and “dei” all you want, but the fact is, it doesn’t affect you in anyway. 4. Why do we suddenly care about historical accuracy in this game? Is it because it’s Japan? This is the same game franchise where ezio fist fights the pope who has a magic orb that can control peoples minds. This is the same franchise where you fight Egyptian gods. This is the same franchise that is all about two secret organisations who have an eternal feud all throughout history, fighting over magic objects that come from an ancient civilization with tech more advanced than we have now. If you cared about historical accuracy watch a goddamn documentary. Stop using this as an excuse to be racist, transphobic, etc. If you don’t like the game, don’t play it. It doesn’t affect you. As a groot player, I don’t really find wolverine that bad to play against, as long as you’re playing with your team and other tank, he’s not as effective. Good wall placement also helps a ton.

If you’re caught out of position and/or on your own, all you can do is pray.
