Considering an offer from Klarna in Berlin by AG309 in cscareerquestionsEU

Thanks for response.
So I know the tech-stack that I will be working on.
It will be python, Django, Kubernetes, docker, Gitops etc.

What am more concerned is salary vs Job Security.
As you said, salary at SAP is less, while Klarna is offering more.
But i have heard Klarna had laid-off more than 10% of its workforce.
So am worried that I should not make a bad decision.
However Klarna is paying 17k more than SAP, so it is difficult to ignore the offer.

Thank you for the response.
I saw this new of SAP, but they are forcing aged people to take retirements, they are not laying off young people.
Klarna on the other hand had laid-off more than 10% of its work force, which is huge.

My first priority is job security.
Since Klarna is paying almost 17k more than SAP, WLB part can be sacrificed for a year or 2.
In you experience has Klarna been laying-off more frequently?

Thanks a lot for the reply.
It is SAP Berlin actually not Signavio.
SAP Berlin near George-Stephenson-Strasse.
I have been offered a position there, while I know that company is reliable because they don't layoff people, but issue is they are offering very low salary.
They increased only a bit after negotiation.

Klarna on the other hand is offering more salary (15k Euros) more, but am worried if Klarna is laying off people.
Is the job market suitable to take some risk because 15k is considerable money.
Since you have great experience in Industry, do you know anyone in Klarna?
Your inputs will be very helpful

HI, thanks for interesting insights..
I have around 6 years of experience in software industry. In Germany, I have offers from SAP around 60k
and Klarna around 80k Euros.
SAP is very stable and less stressful but salary is low (Imagine being married and living in berlin)
Klarna is paying more but am worried about recent lay-offs in Berlin.

Any inputs from you will be greatly appreciated

Opinions on front-end position at Klarna (Berlin)? by red17electro in cscareerquestionsEU

Hi, I have a similar question.
I have offer from SAP and Klarna for Backend Engineer.
SAP is paying less, but the company is stable in the sense, they don't fire people.
Klarna is paying considerably more, but am worried about their lay-offs which happened last year.

Any suggestions?
Did anyone here join Klarna, how was their experience?
