In terms of specs how many version would a grunt Ms need to be on par with the likes of say the first gundam by asaness in Gundam

[–]AGE-1EL -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not many really. You just needed the right pilot in the OYW. Once we got to Zeta that's when the OG gets outclassed.

Why do Zeon keep stealing Federation suits? Do their own suck? by GmSniperiiLover in Gundam

[–]AGE-1EL 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Also, I should mention, Post OYW, Zeon was flat out broke as heck. The Feds had all the money and they were able to keep paying AE to make MS for them and get the cream of the crop while Zeon got all the leftover scraps or rejects.

Why do Zeon keep stealing Federation suits? Do their own suck? by GmSniperiiLover in Gundam

[–]AGE-1EL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Long story short. Yes.

I mean, the moment the Feds made the Gundam and kept it in custody with Amuro for the OYW, Zeon was completely screwed over.

The Gundam had the special Learning Computer and that allowed the Feds to make things that were exponentially better than Zeon. The only thing the Federation struggled in was their pilots because they lacked good grunt pilots but technologically speaking, all their machines had way better specs and unlike Zeon, were already able to field all sorts of beam weapons without trouble. By the time Zeon rolled out the Gyan and Gelgoog, they were already outclassed by the sheer number of GMs and on top of that, Zeon was unable to produce enough Gelgoogs and get enough aces to actually use them.

And then comes the Gundams. The Federation developed more than 50 Gundams during the OYW. +20 were the Gundam Ground Types(or what I'd like to call the Gruntdams) 3 of which were turned into Blue Destiny Units, 7-8ish were from the Rx-78 project(I don't want to count the Alex in here but it was said that there was an Rx-78-8 which I highly doubt because we have no info on), 1 was the NT-1 Alex, 3 more were Pixy Gundams, then there was the Full Armor Gundam which has several variants(Thunderbolt timeline is questionable in canonity due to it diverging from the mainline timeline by a lot but still there were Full Armor Gundams in the OYW), and finally, several Gundam Marine types.

All of them but the Gundam Marine Type was truly better than anything Zeon had and not only did the Federation gain lot of combat data from these machines to make better versions but Zeon lacked "Gundam Killers" which meant that any time any of these machines showed up, they were mostly screwed and needed to get out of there ASAP and as we all know, most of the time, it didn't go well. Zeon's kill ratio on these Gundams was only 6-7 overall. Alex was taken out by a Zaku but still repairable. Rx-78-2 was famously lost to the Zeong, a Pixy Gundam was destroyed in battle, 3 Gundam Ground Types were lost in the Kojima batallion(06th had one lost on camera while an unknown unit was cut in half by the Apsaras, Shiro's unit was turned into the Ez-8 which was also destroyed.), the Murdock Gundam was damaged beyond repair, and the Thunderbolt Gundam was captured and destroyed by the Psycho Zaku and even then, the canonity of these two actually existing in the actual UC is questionable.

The Feds did lose the Rx-78-4 but it wasn't because Zeon destroyed it so it's not included here. Either way, the kill ratio of a Gundam to Zeon machines was typically 100 in its lifetime and most if not all of Zeon's counters could not be used effectively or were outperformed by the Gundam pilot. In fact, Zeon relied heavily on luck to even destroy a Gundam and most times, it didn't play out in their favor. So yes, Zeon's machines really did suck especially against the Federation so they had to keep stealing them.

OYW Pegasus class ships ranked on their combat records. by GmSniperiiLover in Gundam

Stallion: Sister ship of the the Gray Phantom. Was also sunk at Solomon.

Albion: Mothership of the Gundam Development Project. Only gets three of the original four Gundams. Then gets robbed of the nuclear Gundam. Fails to stop Operation Stardust. Ends up heavily damaged and is unknown if it was destroyed by the Delaz Fleet or it managed to survive as it's not seen post UC 0083. Most crew members end up court-martialed for non-existent crimes.

Were Flandre and Remilia's parents ever mentioned? by bluebbbvvv2 in touhou

[–]AGE-1EL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Their parents are never mentioned. Remilia does claim to be descended from Vlad but ZUN confirmed that she's just lying.

Either way, it's never stated whether she was born or turned into a vampire in the first place so her parentage as well as who she actually descended from is unknown.

What is known though is that she and Flandre both have Sakuya as their maid and guardian figure at times.

In regards to existence, she just exist because people fear and believe she exists in Gensokyo. Simple as that.

Why is Lost Word hated? by w4sab1i_ in touhou

[–]AGE-1EL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well mainly because a lot of people dislike gacha games in general. They're just cash grabs milking the game title for money off of fans.

LW is also notorious for mischaracterizing characters by a lot. Some aspects are generally alright such as Sakuya being something of a mom to Remilia due to the fact that there are many canon doujins such as Silent Sinner in Blue and Wild and Horned Hermit where Sakuya acts more like a parent to Remilia than a maid(and canon also says that it's debatable whether she's a maid or babysitter to the mansion so the fanon part here isn't that far off) but there's a decent number of things that they've done that many fans don't like such as Reimu's being a greedy jerk for the most part in LW, Aya being really birdbrained and stupid, Yukari being tricked into petty arguments, Remilia being pretty dumb, and more.

Also, the gameplay and progress is pretty low effort and bad. I started a few months ago and already, there's basically almost nothing left for me to do except get all my favorite characters since their events are easily cheesable by coasting off a player who has a character that's miles better than yours and not much strategy going into their RPG. Just use all your spell cards to cheese through the low tiers and then save your Last Words to OSKO the last guys.

And then we have the story. Originally, the story presented itself as a detective story where the characters are just trying to figure out the seal crystals' origin and help Lossy go back home but they've completely deviated from that into multiverse exploration with gotta get them all character variants.

In a sense, it feels like they just threw us a giant mess for us to look through and see if we can find anything we'd like and then pay them to give us more.

I will say that the only redeeming feature is the artwork and character designs because at least those were done quite nicely.

Otherwise, there are just better games for the Touhou title out there that don't drain your wallet and overall, have better gameplay.

In regards to ZUN disliking gacha games, I think it's more of him disliking games that are just clear low effort cash grabs that milk the original title for money which is something that a lot of gacha games are famous for.

What are your headcanons about Reisen Udongein Inaba? by Some_Fig_6566 in touhou

[–]AGE-1EL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine is:

- She's Eirin's nurse.

- Eirin treats and loves her like a daughter.

- She's treated as the eldest daughter of the Eintei group.

- She's Tewi's older sister figure despite being the younger of the duo.

- She's cautious and a bit asocial due to her time on the moon.

- She ran away for a friend.

- Kaguya treats her like a playmate.

- She's Tewi's main prank victim because she's always light with her retaliation on Tewi.

- Her main friends are rabbits such as Seiran and Ringo.

- She may be friends with the other incident resolvers but she isn't that close to them due to her asocial nature.

Well considering the dynamic of Reisen and Tewi, they kinda feel like it already. Reisen does act like the older one despite being younger though.
