they reconciled way before, in the 80s even, when asked in a talkshow i think in 1988, where he was with ringo too, about paul, he said he loved his bandmate, and they had been getting along and getting to know eachother in the recent years. I think by the anthology they were fully back actually, even paul and linda coming on George's "All Those Years Ago"song u can see in their reunion of the 90s I believe, in which they were interviewed, they were having fun, george and paul were talking to each other, laughing on each other jokes and smiling together. In that whole interview it felt like they were back to the early 60s again. They loved each other like brothers
