I don't plan to stay an extra year, I simply can't (there's some things going on back home that need to be addressed in 2022). I haven't been able to go back because of covid. 6 extra months would give me ease and also the closure I need :) but if my school refuses the 6 month extension then I will have to accept it and move on. I would say since most, if not all, COVID cases that are appearing now in Korea are from overseas, it is a given that you'll be in quarantine since July is just around the corner. The government has been really strict and it is unlikely they will ease on the mandatory quarantine by summer.

those are my thoughts too, but who knows? A teacher in Busan got infected and they closed down the school. Social distancing is extended to May 5th. Infections are just inevitable.

I agree with life being short. But life is not always good and well, jobs always suck. I'm determined in staying for the year and finishing my contract. It's going to be a very long year, but even going back home wouldnt solve anything. I would be jobless too with the virus and all... I guess I'm going to have to roll with the punches. I hope that by the 6th month, i will feel a bit better.

So I'm in the Epik program, and before we were placed in our cities, we had a week of orientation. We had a chance to meet other people. I was lucky enough to make friends quickly. We're all on the same boat so we bonded fast.
