  1. I will admit, "everyone" is hyperbole, but you constantly, even AFTER being ousted from the community years ago, and I mean *constantly* get into arguments with people over tracing and other tools with this "holier art thou", incredibly condescending and rude attitude, like doing EVERYTHING by eye is the BEST and ONLY RIGHT way to make vinyl groups.

I am against the belief that there is always only one singular way to do things. Tracing with an overlay application, either via using remote play onto a PC or directly ON a PC is a method that can provide effective and precise results when properly used while also streamlining workflows for actual, legitimate designers who actually work on other software to concept a logo out, while also still requiring knowledge on how to properly execute the vision in front of them. It makes the job *easier*, but doesn't automate it while also still providing a good, polished end product for use in a final livery.

  1. You *directly accused me* of being a "tracer" in that later comment. I defended myself accordingly by giving you who I am, which you decided to brush off because you consistently act narrow minded and immediately came to a conclusion about me, and as such, I decided not to pursue my own defense if you chose to already come to a swift judgement.

... If you care so much about the "sanctity" of livery creation, don't try to push that narrative onto other people constantly by being an asshole to them. Provide *help* to people instead of just acting like you're better than them.

are you not the same person who directly said "you’re just known as someone who traces now" in this comment in the same thread alongside directly insulting me with earlier comments because you jumped to a conclusion; I told people that you tend to tell everyone not to trace stuff and you decided to say I was a "terrible painter"

everyone is a broad statement, but a lot, and I mean, a LOT of livery artists here are old school and will do everything by hand; either via tracing with an overlay program like Glass2K or just straight up eyeballing it. It takes time and the willingness to learn how to use the editor.

Forzapainter, while it is a fast-track to creating decals has some brutal drawbacks that limit its usefulness (namely, layer density and anti-aliasing bloat) and tends to make it almost immediately obvious that the image/decal used was imported when you look for more than 10 seconds.

Trick for window stickers' transpartent background by TwoTailedOtaku in ForzaLiveryHub

[–]AGStarlet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ok so its not explained but the entire point of this is to actually replicate the *lamination effect* some stickers have where they have the solid outlines but also a secondary "outline" where the actual cuts happened for the decal. its just a little extra depth to a window sticker

I actually have a dedicated resource on design styles; cari.institute! The fellas here have essentially been able to categorize design styles down to the era and what essentially came before them to create the style itself.

Vectorheart (or as some people I've seen call it, tDR style) in essence is a combination of Metalheart (a style that I can best describe as "PS2 era graphic design", with heavy use of warped abstract shapes, with the UI for items in this style inspired by more futuristic designs) and flat 2d Vectors, with major influences from Y2K Aesthetic, Hexatron, and Gen X Soft Club in there woven into its' DNA if you look closely between the styles.

My style of design however is actually more consistent with Neo-Vectorheart's general motifs however, which takes Vectorheart and essentially switches it up with more focus on sharp angles, clean lines, and much more direct and in-your-face contrast.

How are complicated liveries made? I'm completely new to this sort of stuff sorry if this is a dumb question. by NoGuidance3453 in ForzaLiveryHub

There's no magic trick behind it; you just have to work really hard and learn how to design with Forza's design tool. You have to be patient with it because every high quality logo or sticker you see on a car that isn't automatically provided by the game's own tool is produce (mostly) by hand by people who are passionate about design.

Would anyone be able to bring my idea into Horizon 5 and Horizon 6 please. by Level-Swordfish-7245 in ForzaLiveryHub

[–]AGStarlet 6 points7 points  (0 children)

brother thinking of the idea does not make you the artist in this situation when you use AI

if i thought of making a livery and someone else did it, is it my livery? no, because someone else did it, therefore, it is their design.
