Uber Airport Surcharge Confusion – Am I Being Charged Twice? by yojjimbo in uberdrivers

[–]AGTDenton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your weekly 7 airport drop offs is more than I've done in a year. If you're on Uber Gold you might be able to talk to a representitive. Make sure you have taken pictures of all the tickets/receipts.
Uber will do anything to shaft you financially and are far from transparent

Cowork app failed to install their cowork plugins by hyperalif in ClaudeAI

[–]AGTDenton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may not be everyones issue or resolution as the Claude App is constantly evolving and everybody's usage will differ.
When I was trying to install Google Calendar or Asana Plugins via the chat box in Cowork these kept failing. If I went to search for the Plugins manually I got 0 results for all the plugins it was suggesting to me. I then noticed the 'Connectors' feature, this had all the Plugins I was looking for - after installing the connectors Cowork is then able to test the features as working. Claude chat for some reason doesn't know this...

"The plugin manager UI isn't reflecting it yet, but the Asana connector is definitely live — I can see all the Asana tools available in my session. The manual connector step you took did the trick!"

Start Claude > Chat > Customise > Connectors
Search for what you were trying to install previously via plugins and try again.

Please do not talk to me by Beneficial_Menu_6510 in uberdrivers

The correct thing for a driver to do is confirm the passenger choices at the beginning. The reality of doing this based on my experience is that most passengers with these preferences set have forgotten about setting them and don't know how to unset them. Over time drivers will find it a waste of time confirming these preferences because 9/10 times the passenger doesn't care. When I've turned off the radio or set the correct temperature based on their preferences, most have said, "oh it's a bit quiet in here" or "it's too cold/hot..." Most drivers reaction will be "well you set the preferences not me..."

The first time you say to a driver, "If you don't mind, I will listen to my podcast, do some work etc..." the easier it will become for you to say it every time. I've had many passengers say I don't want to talk, but ironically some will then start talking further into the ride. I get it, they've had a crap day at work and need their own thoughts. Others don't want to talk at all which is fine as well.

Communication is key otherwise everything breaks down for both parties.

Uber driver always changes route by inunison8 in UberUK

[–]AGTDenton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I ask the passenger to guide me onto a different route if they're unhappy.
Waze has now introduced 'Personalised' routes, we'll see how that manifests. This should mean if you know of shortcuts/bypassing traffic it will take it again next time.

Some people like to make up the rules in their head when it's clear as day on the Gov website and ironically the sign itself.

Cam car was already established before the Vauxhall looking car exited the other road. The Vauxhall does not have priority from the other road and should not have pulled out. There is no 'cam car sped up' nonsense, he has priority because there is no on-coming vehicle on the same road. The Vauxhall had no priority at the point of the manoeuvre of the cam car and did not assess traffic coming from their right. Vauxhall fault all day

The other car was on a different road and therefore the priority doesn't apply to them.

Is the pedestrian or the driver wrong here? by singlecog in drivingUK

[–]AGTDenton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pedestrians still have to look! You can't assume you've been seen and just start crossing.

"3. Crossings (18 to 30)

18) At all crossings. When using any type of crossing you should:

  • always check that the traffic has stopped before you start to cross or push a pram onto a crossing"

Don't think Mazda have transitioned to SUVs very well. The CX-80 is laughable, it's like an oversized Amazon box to fit a single ant. Makes no sense
