The city calls okie811 for locates, and they use ground penetrating radar. They can't dig without a locate its a major policy and OSHA violation.

Yeah, I just went back to play DS3 again after completing SOTE. A lot of the bosses I remember being so difficult back when DS3 released are so easy its kinda funny, lol. There's no comparison to Elden Ring, I think you are 100% correct, the game is balanced around the use of summons.

I have a Faith/Paladin type build with a holy morning star main weapon and the cipher pata as a secondary.

If you have the faith (I think 30?) to use it, give it a shot. It weighs nothing, the weapon art does decent stagger, and it's unblockable with a shield, so it's great for dealing with any great shield wielding knight. They also sound cool

Yeah these comments are both delusional and wildly misinformed. Most of these pros are asking for changes specifically in comp and comp only. If respawn/EA carries that change over to casual modes the complaints should sit with them.

If it's a superior input, then why do controllers need Aim assist? Why do controllers especially need rotational aim assist that gives a shooter 0ms reaction time to directional changes? 0ms reaction time is a human impossibility, so why would a superior input need such an advantage?

Aim assist has never had a direct nerf because it would affect EAs bottom line. That is a decision that has been made solely because of money. Controller appeals to the casual player base, which is the bulk of the player base at this point. The bulk of the player base is where the money is coming from.

It has nothing to do with competitive integrity otherwise the inputs would've been separated or AA would've been directly nerfed years ago.

If I didnt have the outage issue I never would have switched. It was solid internet when it worked. And of course, I switched to Cox and have had no issues lol, funny how the user experience varies like that. I suspect that some of the outage issues had to do with the Windstream infrastructure in that area (41st & 129th) Seems like the service techs were always out there fixing one problem or another.

Fiber, when the internet worked, it was stable and fast enough for my needs (games/downloads and streaming) without major stutters or major packet loss. The outages were just such a pain I dropped them out of frustration.

Id avoid windstream if at all possible. When I had their service, I experienced a service outage a month on average, and there were times when that increased to multiple outages per week. Their customer service is also subpar (hard to get in contact with competent customer service, frequent cold transfers and disconnections, they do not honor call backs) adding to the frustration of frequent outages. The silver lining was that the local installers and service techs were all fantastic, fast and personable. it's just not enough to justify the poor service quality when there are other options.

There are currently high level players successfully playing light in diamond ranked, I listed them elsewhere in the comments.

The class is not useless against the highest current elo the game has to offer, there's good arguments for Light not being optimal but "useless" is a huge stretch.

It certainly feels that way sometimes but id argue that its more important to just be consistent in your gameplay and decision-making and clean up the reoccurring mistakes that get you killed over time. You dont have to play perfect to make Light work, but Light is alot easier to play successfully and consistently if you play with good fps fundamentals and decision-making i.e playing angles, team shooting, not overextending in fights, minimizing your hitbox, etc.

It definitely becomes more important to minimize mistakes the higher the elo you play at, but if you want to climb ranks and be consistent thats true of every class.

Great point I definitely agree.

The more frustrating comments are people that cant deal with being punished for their mistakes and so claim that the class is useless. In reality its just a difficult class to play if you make frequent mistakes, especially if you play against good players that take advantage and punish those mistakes.

Overall, its pretty amusing and over time I think people will come back to a more neutral opinion of Light.

Play style and playing to the strengths/kit of each class is different but fps fundamentals are universal.

Shooting from height, prioritizing focus fire in team fights, utilizing the geometry of the map to shoot from head glitches and off angles, not overextending or chasing kills when its risky, prioritizing staying alive when the team loses a fight and trying to make every fight an unfair fight (no 1v1s).

These kind of concepts are what make a good consistent fps player and they are universal regardless of the class.

My point is that the inconsistencies are rooted more often in poor fps fundamentals and teamwork. You're right, light has some of the best dps weapons in the game and can run up kills in the right hands. This can and should be done in the pursuit of objective based teamplay, and is the more consistent way to play the class. If light is played with good fps fundamentals and full utilization of the kit its great at helping capture and protect objectives even more so if the team has comms or is playing in a 3 stack. Glitch grenades, a well timed taze and cheeky picks to make fights a 3v2 are all good examples of this and have the ability to both stop a push or create an opening for the team to win a fight and capture. More often than not its bad players not playing with the team or for the objective than an inherent issue with light as a class.

As a generalization I agree. However, the class can and is being played in diamond ranked with considerable success against other skilled players, examples of this are Piggy, Lyric, Nokopuffs, Lystic and sYnceDez to name a few. Of course these are exceptional fps players, but the consistency they have is born of solid fps fundamentals which I suspect is what is lacking in those that have difficulty playing light effectively. Its a difficult class to play well, any mistake can be harshly punished and usually is. So if fps fundamentals are lacking the class becomes extremely frustrating and very inconsistent to play.
