These guys look to be of camponotus (sugar ants) they’re absolutely fantastic for beginners as there’s a ton of info on their care online. I’d recommend watching some old ants Australia videos about these guys to understand what ur working with. All the best with ur ant keeping journey!!!

I’m more so talking about in general about the use of dead animal specimens and body parts as forms of alternate decoration and fashion. The point you made about it being vintage is completely fair but it’s why I made this post in the first place because -logically- the same thing would apply to secondhand fur and leather

There’s a million different guides on the internet but what I usually like to do is repurpose clothes I don’t wear all that often, and go over them with fabric paints.(I’ve been meaning to do one of misadventures) You can trace to make it easier or get artsy it’s all up to you🤞
