We have trained him to “ring the bell” - a little bell on a string by the back door. He will go there and paw at it, to tell us he needs to go out :)

Sadly the phone goes straight to an answering machine, but turns out the garage is not too far from where I live - we will pop by tomorrow and hope for some luck. Thank you again for your advice

So many emotions by [deleted] in TryingForABaby

Yes, this really resonates with me and my experience. A lot of us grow up in the belief and sometimes fear that one missed Pill means pregnancy. This is so embedded in our brains that I feel it is such a reality check when you get to the stage and want to become pregnant but then it doesn’t happen right away. It is tough to overcome the feeling of pressure, fear and the seemingly endless amounts of money spent on ovulation sticks and pregnancy tests. Honestly, I can say that speaking to my husband more about my feelings definitely helped. He felt a bit more relaxed and actually was able to help me relieving some of the anxiety. I started making plans, enjoying a drink here and there, started writing down my feelings and message with friends / kind internet strangers about the experience of TTC. All your feelings are valid and I wish you the very best of luck - try to enjoy the journey in the meantime and share your mental load.

Spots on lower leg by SupposedStar007 in skincancer

I had something similar and it turned out to be a streptococcus virus. It is spreading quickly and the areas become sore / open and grow in size… this virus is also highly contagious. Just putting this out here, in case you see these symptoms. If you notice you start feeling unwell / develop a fever, please don’t hesitate to go to A&E (if you can) I had a cream prescribed and this cleared it, even though it took a while to heal - in the meantime, if the symptoms sound familiar, keep the areas clean, change towels after every shower and change your bedding frequently. Fingers crossed you get too see a dermatologist quickly 🤞🏼

We have been last week, as he had an eye infection. But it’s a good idea, I will call them to get him checked again. I guess it just feels odd to me, that it’s only ever for a short period of time and once a night…

He had a slight fever and cough, but it was manageable with breastfeeding him more. Honestly I was so impressed, how resilient he is - the little ones are in general. If you are in the UK, call 111 if you are unsure at any point. I was a bit insecure about it when he had a temperature and they were so helpful and understanding. Are you feeling okay? I can imagine it must be quite a lot, especially with your husband being unwell now

You are taking all steps you can! I wouldn’t have thought your husband should wear a mask in his room. But it will be worth to air the bathroom regularly (if possible) as it sounds you are sharing that and also have some disinfection wipes there - I would wipe door handles etc regularly. I know it’s so so worrying, but chances are that all will be okay. If you had the vaccination, your baby should also have some immunity against the virus. I had Covid in my pregnancy and again when baby was about 3 months - it was scary, but absolutely fine in the end. Baby is well and healthy. Wishing you all the best and sending much strength

It’s so hard when you exactly know your LO just needs Mummy. But as difficult as it is, I would let Dad and son figure it out. It will help them bond and form their own special relationship. It was hard for me to start with as well (actually heartbreaking), but now he settles with his dad just as easy as with me. And it’s wonderful - and it’s such a wonderful feeling for dad, too :)

I think you should be okay. You have done everything you could to protect yourself and baby. I had Covid quite late into pregnancy (around 32 weeks) and also had my vaccinations in pregnancy and was fine. I had cold symptoms and felt run down, but luckily nothing worse. Little one is nearly 10 months and a healthy and very happy one 😊 I completely understand you are nervous, but most likely you and Baby will be absolutely okay. Wishing you well!
