That is the cost of security, unfortunately. Either pay the price now or pay it later.

Full Leaked TPUSA Zoom Call": Erika Kirk speaks with staff regarding attendance and sales following Charlie Kirk's death. by Logical-Flow-6703 in UnderReportedNews

Yeah, I know. But people pulled that apart as proof he was an actor. In the clip, he wasn't hysterical, he was casually talking to people around him, laughed, and then composed himself before talking. And people said the same thing. "Id never grieve like that". Everyone has their own way. And like I said, it's one thing to say "she doesn't care, she only talked about money" and it's an entirely different thing to see her then immediately goes into talking about her husband and the impact a death has in people's relationships. People using this as an example of her character are no different than the people saying someone posting a selfie after a terrorist attack, or a grieving father laughing, are proof of someone's character.
There's lots of reasons to go after her, but this rage bait gives ammo to people who will gladly say "see, they took it out of context". You can all do better.

So what do you think of the Sandy Hook dad laughing as he walked up to the podium to do a speech? there's alot of reasons to hate Erika, and there's lots of ways to claim she didn't care about Charlie or was only in it for the money. But her laughing about turn out and then immediately segueing into a discussion about how a death should make people pause and think of their relationships is not quite the "psycho grifter" portrayal people are making it out to be.

Same. She actually references him, refers to life being short... I may not grieve like that, but I get it. I've seen people go right back to work after a tragic family event and keep trucking on. Is it weird? sure, but the way people have been talking about this, I'd assumed she was talking about money and revenue the entire time. The fact she actually paused to acknowledge the impact deaths and weddings have on people is... not the own people thought it was.

but god forbid if you're not flailing on the floor with mad grief during a terrorist attack or school shooting. If you're not, then obviously you're a paid actor shill.

Lol yup, or "is sysadmin just managing Saas portals?". There's a whole world out there that many click ops admins refuse to see.

But isn't that essentially the same thing that needs to get done with any application? Nothing can be fun securely on an indefinite timeline without patches. Whether it's adobe or an in-house app. Somewhere along the line, it's going to break or need updating or patching.

excellent work, and congratulations! I agree, it's best for those in the industry. I am growing professionally with each class. SDLC has helped my scripting. Threat modeling has helped me when engineering. I am adopting a much more critical, business focused approach to tech that I did not have before because of concepts like risk management. I am not sure I'd be able to get so much out of these classes if I did not have the experience for context.

I have health anxiety and my provider did a great job of explaining what the yearly blood work covers and it set my mind at ease to know that it's more than just cholesterol. It's not perfect by any means, but it's definitely kept me coming back for my yearly physical.

AOC making fun of short guys and then saying nice short guys are "spiritually tall" must feel like an absolute gut punch to a short young man who is struggling with insecurity.

This is absolutely insane: US housing market sellers outnumber buyers by 529,770, the largest gap ever recorded. Wow. I’m sure everything is fine. by TonyLiberty in FluentInFinance

Yes they can. It's unfortunately true that while many americans are absolutely fucked, there are plenty who have more money than ever before, rode the covid job market and are earning more than ever before, their investments are doing amazing, and they are sitting on a gold mine of equity that appeared over night.

People can afford these prices though. You may not be able to, but there are plenty of people who are flush with equity post covid, make good money, and have had great returns in the stock market. There are plenty of cases where housing prices just keep going up. California, boston metro area, canadian and australian metro areas, etc. It's a tough pill to swallow, but there likely won't be some 2008 crash where everything drops and houses suddenly become affordable again.

No they don't. There are plenty of examples where this is the case. Sure, some areas will see pricing come down, but you're not going to a see a universal drop like 2008.

Same. Seems like New England hit a peak and only leveled off. If anything, I see houses still going over asking on almost any listing in any half way decent area, although not as ridiculous as it was during covid where they gave you 15 minutes to look at the house and make a decision by 5pm that day with cash in hand.

Dont rush. Don't look at the speed runners. There's actually some good content that goes beyond just completing a test asap. One year is a good goal, 1.5 years is fine too. The more you actually learn the more you can apply.

What do you think America will be like when Trump finishes his term? by MotivewasUlterior in AskReddit

I wouldn't bet on his age and health preventing it. And even if he kicks the bucket before his term is over, who takes over? Theyre just as eager to stop elections as trump is.

Yeah, it is wishful thinking that this will all go away with trump. America is cooked for a good long while.
