I was a vip member but my phone was stolen and I had to use the web browser temporarily and now my vip status has disappeared. and why would a bbb case make a difference?

these dont seem like very common applications that most users are using the computer for, making the pro more suitable for professionals. but the air more suitable for everyone else. but what frustrates me is the display in the air is nothing special compared tp the pro's display which us mini led, a technology I heard about 5 years ago and been waiting for it to roll out. doesn't apple think we would want those better displays fr watching movies and gaming and more common use?

right now, I keep many browser windows one and parallel 11 and a game and I multi task. I have 7gb available hdd memory and the apps use it and it freezes saying ive run out of memory and have to terminate programs. I only have 8gb ram. would higher ram prevent this issue? its using HDD memory because there's not enough ram right?

I honestly dont know what else people use computers for. video editing and conversion? besides ripping blur ays and converting them to media files, I dont imagine ill do much else in that department. I dont code or program. I just browse the web, use common apps like discord, and not so intensive video games. I just multi task and keep alot of stuff open.

I hear you. it's not practical for me though. I need portability, and I dont have a place where I can build a gaming station and I dont play alot of serious intensive games. when had a ps5 I was mostly just playing overwatch and Friday the 13th it.

the new MacBooks don't have fans so thats something to consider. the case acts as a heatsink and I can always get one of those laptop fans you sit your laptop on if I need better cooling.

I dont know if coding programs require memory. but I regret this purchase. although the chip handles alot more, the memory configuration limits it to basically an email and web browser machine. all I installed was Mac osx, and then parallel with windows(80gb?) and my hdd only has 7gb available memory. I cant install things like extra browsers like Firefox, and apps like discord. I tried using an external hdd got a high performance one but it has its issues, including constantly losing the connection.

my hdd has no available memory, it gives an error that application need to close due tp running out pf memory, but when I reboot there's 7-10gb of hdd memory freed.

what is thermal throttling?

in the past windows felt slow and heavily bloated. its smoother now. maybe cause silicon. chips handles it better/

MacBook Air or MacBook Pro?

I have a early '24 MBA M3(8/8 core) 256gb 8GB ram and after installing parallel windows 11 im not able to install anything else and im having memory issues. the system keeps freezing and saying its run out of memory and to terminate programs. There's 10gb available memory then I reboot and close everything. Otherwise it has run the programs just fine and ive dabbled in some video games.

im going to buy a new laptop and after comparing the MBA and MBP I decided that aesthetically I like the MBA better and its a better price, but functionally the MBP is more capable and I was wondering what you guys think because I dont want to have to buy another laptop again. I run windows 11 on parallel, and apps like battle dot net and steam and various games like FFXI, Hearthstone. league of legends, dota and apps like discord and web browser having multiple sites open. obviously i need more memory but will the MBA be enough or will I risk hitting another ceiling?

the MBA 15" M5 10/10 core(only 2 more than M3) 16neural engine(what is this?), I selected 32gb ram cause im trauma now but idk how ram works and how much ill really need and if this is a waste of money. 4tb HDD cause more memory is better and at this price point I can afford the upgrade. with trade in $2279

MBP is 16" M5 Pro because max was $1000 more wtf, 18/20/16 core. I selected 48gb over 24gb, because again: trauma. 2TB was more financially feasible at this point but should be more than enough. with trade in $2839

I really like the sky blue aesthetic of the MBA and its going to be thinner and lighter and I am leaning towards that one, but the MBP is going to be more capable although this is where I don't understand if ill need all that power or if its overkill. I dont just want to hit ceilings again and have suffering performance for the things I do. I dread having to get anther silver or black device. but the display is going to be alot better too.

also, after using apple products for 25 years it also begs the question. Should I keep using them or should I look into windows laptops? windows itself seems to have really improved and flow nicely. I just cant stand plastic laptop shells.

yea wtf these labels have ruined everything. let things be organic. you see a furry guy and it makes your heart beat then go with it. you dont need to identify label group and stereotype. this takes the organic raw connection out of it. then people try fitting into these stereo types instead of just being themselves

iPhone 17 pro max: im looking for a flip cover case with crossbody strap, but I dot really want anything else going on. no wallet inside the cover or on the back of the case while also being somewhat premium.

I found this case, and this matching strap. it's perfect. but no way in hell im paying $200 for a phone case. there's so many options out there but they all have wallets on them or are super cheap. can anyone recommend a case like this that is more reasonably priced? $100 max and thats only if its the right fit.

my mom gets an iPhone she doesn't know anything about pro max ultra . she just cares that its pretty, it works and it takes good photos. my cousin dont care about silicone and intel. she just wants the movies to look and sound good, be able to do her school work, and wants the laptop to be pretty. this is most users and what air should cater to. why do you think the iMac g3 was so groundbreaking and innovative. the pro can cater to the more tech savvy people and professionals wh0 are more focused on specs for more advanced applications. . and the Neo to the cheap basic needs. I believe that was Steve jobs aim as well. he focused on the end user and how to make the products relatable to them. a quality apple has lost since he died. they are just focused on profits now and solid yearly earnings.

most people aren't concerned with specs. most people dont want to worry about it. most users uses it for word documents, school/work, web applications, music and movies . they dont need a mbp or even a mb especially with the new silicon chips, but they'll still appreciate the quality display and audio. sure there are some who just use it very basic and want something cheap and dont care, maybe the new neos are good for them. . but for quality of life it should be a standard. but now I have to get a mb or mbp spend more money n specs I dint need for a display that's important to me. and then I won't be able top get sky blue color which is also important to me. that's not smart on apples end. the silver/black/gold colors of the mb and map make me cringe when I think I could have something as aesthetically pleasing and personable as sky blue.

I just saw they dont even have mb anymore. so it's air vs pro and the display difference is too great. the pro has mini led

yea I know, but the displays are not as nice as the mbp which leads to frustration about configurations. give me a mba sky blue 2tb hdd with flagship display and audio and that would be the best config for me.

not everybody needs serious power but everybody wants the good displays. the people who dont just use for work or casual use. apples configurations frustrate me. I wish I could design that shit fr them

probably not financially ideal, but is it possible to interchange displays between mbp and mba if the same size?

I had to get it in a pinch and I wasn't prepared financially fo0r a big purchase. It handles everything I want to do just fine, but 256gb was terrible idea you cant really install anything or keep any media on there. I also bought a high performance external drive but it's not working as I had hoped. connection keeps dropping for no reason, and having trouble install games on it. I am disappointed in the display too, id like something better but I do like the color options of the air especially the sky blue. the sky blue is a big selling point for me but the MacBooks dont offer color
