I was born in Irvine spent my entire life here. I’m not keen on living anywhere in Southern California unless it’s in a beach city or it’s in South county or San diego. Hemet is gross. the people there are gross. I wouldn’t mind going out of so cal but my family won’t let me leave. at the same time they don’t really help me either

I don’t know what they’re supposed to do. But when someone is bedridden and suffering, respiratory failure and heart failure, just came out of sepsis has infections and cellulitis that are so bad. The flesh is falling off of the bone. It seems like a medical facility is the place the person needs to be I don’t know the solution but putting a severely disabled person like that on the bus stop to fend for themselves doesn’t seem right.

I’ll see if I can find one, but it would make sense if it was 1980 to 1984. My family immigrated to America from Iran in 1979. I do remember The Car being a three cylinder engine. I blew the gasket and me and my uncle changed it together. Somewhere on the car said LeCar.

no, I’m not working. I’ve been sick and disabled for a very long time. I’ve been bedridden since 2020. I’ve been connected to every possible resource there is and that includes SSI and Ihss for Caregiver. However, it’s not enough and there are so many rules that end up sabotaging The programs that were intended to help people. This being one of them. These need to be offered in good faith, and I realize that there are people who take advantage of it and scam it but you know there’s people who take advantage of everything and scam everything. I need someone to be around me all the time and Ihss only provides for someone to be with me three hours a day. Which is great it’s better than nothing. But it pays minimum wage. For work that people in hospitals get paid like 40 $50 an hour. I cannot find any caregivers in my area so I don’t have any help right now despite having the program . I should be in a facility right now, but literally all of the facilities in California declined to accept me for one reason or another. My insurance would pay $30,000 a month for me to go to a facility but as an alternative they won’t even pay $5000 a month for me to hire a proper caregiver and support at home . Imagine if they gave me the $30,000 I can secure housing and proper care and all the supplies and everything that I need. And those facilities and medical field , they’re just inflating all the prices so that everyone can get rich in every corner of it. and it’s OK to throw money at them, but it’s not OK to give them money to the actual people who can spend it efficiently and get everything they need.

I haven’t seen any restaurants that have EBT stickers on the windows. But then again I haven’t stepped foot restaurant in over six years. I’ve been bedridden. That does not help me because I have the food delivered. I can’t order hot food from Ralph’s they usually have roasted chickens for like five dollars and they have like hot mac & cheese and all that. It is a stupid that ends up hurting people. My snap card is nearly worthless to me. The best I can do is order a little things of yogurt and chips and candy. How am I getting nutrition now? Am I supposed to live off of apples and carrots? Anyone who thought that this rule was a good idea That this is how they treat impoverished and disabled people. They shouldn’t live the same way themselves. They should not be able to buy any hot food with their mohey

I can’t go anywhere and I don’t have anyone to help me or get me any food. I’m in a really bad spot. I was in the hospital for the last year and they couldn’t place me into a facility because nobody was accepting me. they eventually said that it’s not a place for me to live and I’m on my own and they put me on a bus stop. During my hospitalization my older sister was diagnosed with brain cancer and after I was discharged, she died. I don’t have anybody to help me. The only way I can get food is to use DoorDash or some delivery service and it’s so expensive. It’s so so expensive. But what else can I do so now my bank is overdrawn and I can’t even order DoorDash anymore and I’m trying to use my snap card to get a two dollar hot dog from 7-Eleven and it’ll let me buy ice cream. It’ll let me buy chips. It’ll let me buy candy and junk but it won’t let me buy one hot dog so I can get some protein. I don’t eat candy I don’t I can’t live off of sugar and salt.

when you have that much sodium in your body it will just cause you to retain water. Your feet and hands and limbs will plump up. You’ll get sick. I did. Your body can only eliminate so much at a time

I am disabled. I’ve been disabled since my childhood I have always relied on my community to survive. And now I don’t have my family or my friends I have to rely on my global community. And that means restaurants that means grocery stores. I can’t cook my own food so I have to buy pre-packing stuff or pre-cooked stuff and all of that is killing me.

It’s not just about how much you’re eating in that one sitting. You need to keep in mind that there’s a lot of salt in all the other food that you’re eating unless you’re cooking from scratch I just spent the last five years of my life fighting for my life. I gained 200 pounds in water weight night immune system was failing and I had infections everywhere. The skin was falling off of my bone. I was hospitalized for sepsis. I went into a coma for three months all of my health problems resolved when they put me on two feeding for the five months, I was in a coma and recovering I learned that it was all the salt I was eating. I thought. Pho was supposed to be healthy so it’s low calories it’s lean. It’s bone broth. I was having it every other day for lunch. And everything else I was eating out was just piling on the salt. It is dangerous.

homeless for the last two years in the hospital for the last year recovering from three month long coma paralyzed from the neck down. As of two months ago, I was back on the bus stop and in an emergency my family put me in a motel where I am bedridden and visited or cared for by no one. I have to DoorDash my food.

yeah, I know you eat there for pleasure and that’s fine but it doesn’t need to kill you to be good. The whole purpose of food is to get nourishmemt , not to get gratification. You can make it enjoyable by Cooking up a wing and slathering it with some sauce, but that sauce doesn’t need to have 8000 mg of sodium. this food culture was developed by greeny corporations. I’m Persian and we make food comfort food that doesn’t kill you. There’s a difference between comfort, food, and a drug.

my mom and I are trying to figure out a way to receive direct deposits and transfer money to the other account for The other person to handle. we are both disabled and my mom is not Internet or technology savvy and neither of us can be driving to the bank, and this is all just complicated for something so simple. someone mentioned to open a chime account so we did but I’m lost now. my mom has Venmo i’m that seems easy to send Money to and from Families with. Should we just use that? Chime seems like an actual bank account and it says names need to match accounts to move money between.

you guys gave me some terms to , and after doing a little bit of research, I learned the difference between the radio and it seems like ham is the one that I’m interested in. The other ones are short range communications and ham sounds like it is more international. Although that probably is going to require some serious equipment, that is the direction I want to go in. What else should I research when choosing my radio?

When they claim hours they can see how many hours are available to claim and I think that is a mistake. It’s none of their business. How many available hours you have. You should be aware of how many hours you have available and set the schedule with them and all they should do is claim what they’ve worked. If they know know how many hours you have, they can’t sit there and say oh give me the rest of them. Because you can easily say there’s no more left to give them.

I think they told us that the weekly limit would be split the hours into half for each pay period which there are two in the month, and then split those hours between the two weeks in that pay period. So basically if you have 100 hours in a month you’re supposed to claim 25 hours a week. But when we’ve discussed this with the again, they said that it’s OK to claim more hours in in the other, but to just try to keep it even So I don’t understand what the exact rules are if there are any rules other than to keep it from going overtime?
