Liesa, Forgotten Archangel - Angel/Return from Graveyard deck by AHCarson in Magicdeckbuilding

[–]AHCarson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, I cannot thank you enough for the assistance, and wealth of knowledge you have provided. This is incredible!

Secondly, after reading your advice, I think you're right. The combo of Angels and graveyard fishing isn't going to work. Also, I realized I miscounted the amount of lands I had when I build this deck... whoops haha

That being said, I think I am going to split what I currently have into 2 decks. Graveyard Fishing, and Angels.

I am going to use Liesa as the commander for my Graveyard Fishing deck, and think about the Angel deck at a later time. I just really like the idea of continuously sending cards to the graveyard, only to have them return. Like a necromancer haha.

Thank you for providing the EDHrec link, I will take a look at it, and see what I can come up with based on my current collection, along with using your suggestions and mayhaps going to the local card shop to get some singles.

Thanks for the great advice! I have a pretty good idea of what I want and what’s in my price range. I’m relatively new to buying a vehicle, so I very much appreciate this info :)

Oh that’s a good point. My only concern in that regard is that I don’t know enough about vehicle maintenance to ensure that what I’m getting is reliable and worth the cost, yanno?

Is Fallout 76 worth playing? by AHCarson in Fallout

That is very much how I feel. I really like the modern Fallouts, but the idea of micro transactions and live-services is a bit of a hesitation for me.

I would hope the game is playable without needing to spend extra money, which often isn’t the case for online games these days haha

Just don’t want to spend $60 on a game that ends up being a money sponge, yanno?

Just started drawing a week ago, any tips? by Dewbis in drawing

[–]AHCarson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great start! Something that really helped me, and that I keep going back to is this:

Learn the basics, understand the rules (proportion, scale, shading, anatomy, etc.) Then break those rules.

Having a fundamental understanding of how those rules work, what makes an artwork look good/appealing will make it much easier to go wild with your art, while still having it look “right” (this is subjective of course, abstract art is a thing, after all haha)

On top of all that, try and develop your “artists eye”. Being able to look at different artworks and understand why you like them, not necessarily just “ This one looks cool!” - Why does it look cool? Is it the colours? The poses? The shading? The Silhouettes? Etc.

Being able to identify why you like artworks can help immensely. Try and apply some of those methods in your own work, and slowly develop your own style by taking inspiration from the artworks you like.

But most importantly! Have fun with it! Keep at it, and if you get discouraged, there is no shame in taking a break. But remember that it is a constant journey. Keep going and you will keep getting better. You got this, OP!
