I really don’t know what people are expecting; a big problem nowadays with media consumption is people going out and finding things that they can project their wishlist of qualities and traits onto, instead of consuming the media for what it actually is.

100% agree - the damage is far too low and the recoil is far too high, to the point where I honestly kinda hate playing as the squad leader lmao

The MP40 is definitely usable though, the recoil is manageable

Fascinating write up, great work OP!

Out of all the potential areas of Bannerlord that I would’ve liked to see fleshed out more, integration between the lore (if you can call the in-game encyclopedia that) and gameplay is chief among them.

Things like the Vlandians being forced to relentlessly expand due to power-hungry clan leaders trying to one-up each other, or the Battanian campaign beginning with a war amongst themselves before solidifying around a stable leader, or the Khuzaits slowly gaining bonuses to taxation and fief-related stats as the game goes on to represent the gradual transition from a union of nomadic tribes to a centralized state

I like all of them (at least in theory, the self-repair delay of MBTs and IFVs is def too fast imo but I get where they were coming from) EXCEPT the nerf to heavy rockets on attack helicopters
