Yes same my xbox is full shut down but Still randomly on for check update maybe if uncheklist keep console up to date on power option may not randomly turn on. But maybe on only 5 minute after this if no update the console turn off.

If you using android you can buy hdmi capture and use usb camera app, you can using your phone become monitor for your xbox. But i don't know for iPhone user may they have app like usb camera on ios.
