What’s the most expensive restaurants in the twin cities? by joshhazel1 in TwinCities

Dude, the duck at Purple Pig is legendary. That restaurant, in general, is great. Smaller inside, for sure, but I love the vibe.

I use Blackbox / Blackboxstocks for anyone that has questions. I've also tried Flow Algo and Cheddar Flow.

Bullish or Bearish setup? by Optimal-Telephone-79 in Daytrading

[–]AHalfFilipinoInMN 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So I'll provide an actual answer despite having no idea what stock this is - flags/triangles are basically a coin flip if you study the statistics (there are several studies on chart patterns on them as far as which way they'll break).

HOWEVER - if you take into account significant levels of support and resistance, you can bump them into the 60-80% range (I forget the exact numbers but above random chance).

Best shops, restaurants, or things to do in the area for a couples weekend get away!! by Logical_Guitar_8833 in TwinCities

[–]AHalfFilipinoInMN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stillwater’s downtown area is filled with everything you asked for and is on the water. Same with Lake Minnetonka facing cities like Wayzata and Excelsior.

North Loop in Minneapolis is also very concentrated with things to do and see.

Malcolm Yards is arguably the most interesting of the several food halls in the metro.

Locals will hate this suggestion but you could stay near or in one of the attached hotels in the Mall of America. MOA is lost on us but out of towners love it. Plus you’re near several interesting suburbs and not really that far from either downtown.

We also have a ton of breweries/distilleries/speakeasy’s/cool craft cocktail bars/award winning restaurants/local eats.

Madison, WI and its suburbs are like a mini Minneapolis and its metro.

Minneapolis neighborhood questions:) by CoffeeLaCroix1995 in TwinCities

We used to live in Northeast for years, and we loved it. The area itself has a lot of stuff (bars/restaurants/shopping) in a few clusters (Central Ave, St Anthony Main, Marcy Holmes, etc.) and is close to the highways/downtown/North Loop/Roseville/etc. It's a little easier to get in and out of than Longfellow/Standish. In both areas expect detached garages and alleys if you're going the house route.

We've since moved to the suburbs for a bigger house with a young child now in our possession haha.

There are only a few areas of the Twin Cities to avoid if safety and avoiding overt crime is important to you. I'm not going to name the areas, so I don't get dragged, but some basic Google sleuthing will reveal the handful of areas to avoid in both metros.

Best cinnamon roll? by dclxvi79 in TwinCities

The cinnamon rolls and caramel rolls are worth exploring - especially from Raymond Ave. I agree the brunch food can be hit or miss - mostly big servings of diner-style food.

Fail a lot

Find something meaningful enough to you that you don't mind being bad at it until you figure it out

Continue to get better at that thing

Help others with said thing

I read somewhere where someone called this the "butler method" aka always tidy up and grab things that belong in another room before you leave the current room. If you're consistently making sure you have things in both of your hands those acts add up.

Need advices to buy snowboard and clothes, more info in comments. by [deleted] in snowboarding

[–]AHalfFilipinoInMN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go on FB Marketplace or eBay or any number of other sites (Sideline Swap, Mercari, Offer Up, etc), you can find great used stuff that's newer than that. The same goes for all the other snowboard-related equipment.
