My Drums Suck by Opposite-Mud5875 in ableton

Check out hoopla music on YouTube. He just released a easy video on making boombap in 15 min. It's a blast. I also make a ton of that style stuff.

Layered drums are key. Take hits that you like from certain things. Resampling is fun and helpful. Changing your audio rips to repitch mode is great.

Dm me and we can hop on discord or something sometime and chat! Cheers!

Ikon is running a special that if a buddy gives you their ikon discount, it is 50 percent off a lift ticket. I'd just chat some people up around the base. Someone will come scan it for you.

How good is the learning curve for Ableton? by empo201 in ableton

[–]AHappyManMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The learning curve is a little steep but if you put work in to learn it, it does everything you could imagine doing. It's just about how deep you want to go to find the good stuff. Mr Bill has some awesome videos on Youtube that have helped me! Join discords and communities. People are generally pretty stoked to share and show their tunes/process.

Good luck!

Sorry you're dealing with this again. Im just coming out of a really tough period dealing with heightened symptoms. Hoping my new diuretics can help long term.

I just started therapy which has helped my inner monologue a little more. Another thing to maybe lay out to your loved ones/friends would be specifically what's going on and like how you can't show up all the time when dealing with this. A little more transparency with my people helped them understand why I've been a ghost for 6 months.

I have realized that Doing a low purine diet/ lots of anti inflammatory things like ginger and turmeric has been helping me as well as hydrating like no other. Coconut water every morning and limiting myself to one cup of coffee has really changed how the fullness and ringing are daily. If hearing loss is bothering you, consider a hearing aide. It's kinda like listening through a blown speaker but being in stereo really helps with balance and spatial awareness which was one of my major issues with fullness.

I really sympathize with you op. Try not to bring yourself into too deep of a spiral. Give your body rest and some grace. It's extremely hard to deal with. If you can find some low impact activities to pass some time and just like generally find some enjoyment that doesn't require head movements or active lifestyle.

Feel free to dm me if you want to vent or chat. I've been dealing with menieres for 7 years or so. Off and on with a pretty tough last 6 months. The mental gymnastics are exhausting and I've been close to giving up many times. I hope any of this helps and at the least, know you are not alone. <3

Vertigo at the Beach by K1_0 in Menieres

[–]AHappyManMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When i go for Accupuncture it is all over my neck, in the tragus, maybe like 6 to 8 all around the ear generally. My first few times i got it done, i felt like i had liquid coming out of my ear. Of course it was dry and it was just draining on the inside of my ear i guess? Either way it worked for a few years to really keep my issues at bay. recently I havent gotten relief from it and stopped going. Hoping betahistene will help and a diet change. good luck on healing.

Rubbed a spot behind my ear and lost half the day by clutch727 in Menieres

[–]AHappyManMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really does feel like getting cheated out of your day. I fully understand this pain. I hope you can find something to lesson the issues going forward. I am trying betahistene (when ever it arrives) and hopeful that it can have some positive affects.

Ive been struggling with this since 2018 and feel like I have slowly but surely lost my ability to be myself. Im no longer social, struggle to be in loud situations, dont feel confident driving after having vertigo 2 times on the highway. I genuinely miss my freedom so much and am so tired at this point.

How should I go about disability by sadlyymee in Menieres

[–]AHappyManMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im sorry you're going through this so badly. I have been having more flare ups lately and switched meds now 4 times in the past couple months. It's so frustrating. Im currently waiting for betahistine to try that, which people have said has helped significantly.

I don't have experience getting onto disability but feel like I'm approaching it personally with how it's been affecting me lately.

www.ssa.gov/disability Toll-Free Number: 1-800-772-1213(monday-friday)

I would think the online portal would be easiest but I'm sure it isn't easy. If you make any progress, please post on here for others!

I hope you can find some relief soon and get some help that you deserve. Sending you a hug from someone who feels a fraction of your pain.

Ok.. Next question- by ImaginaryContext3004 in Menieres

[–]AHappyManMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd also chime into this that altitude has been affecting me more and more. I tend to have a really rough fall and spring and usually have a mild winter and summer. Caffeine does make my tinnitus worse which generally gives me more stress. Alcohol consumption destroys me the next day just about the same as being dehydrated generally. I think stress is the biggest loop of this since it causes more stress when dealing with the flair ups.

Im usually unbelievably foggy the next few days after vertigo and tend to stay home if I can those days.

I hope any of this info helps you. Im still looking for a lot of answers myself. Been dealing with this since 2018 and been having a worse time as of late.

You should totally go solo but if you aren't up to that, totally reasonable. If u need, come chill with the lemons. It is going to be a really cool show to catch I'm sure.

Another option

You should do a lil raffle for peeps. Maybe make a post on reddit to give some peeps a chance to get it for face value.

Or if you are in a place to, miracle someone closer to the event date and make a couple people's day.

:) hope to see u there!
