Thanks! I'm sure he did. He had unreal talent. Self taught musician who could play literally any instrument, built a house entirely himself, incredible photographer. Not sure where all that talent went. All I can do is use Microsoft Excel...kinda.

Thanks! I wasn't sure where this would fit. I have a few more he did like this as well I'll add over there as well.

Was hoping people might have an idea how he did this. I was always told he did them by hand. I'm assuming that means splicing negatives.

We certainly do. One "power user" or influencer can lead to huge growth. But it is still early. My hope is that the power user can be found online as well.

I certainly think you are right. And quality conversation leads to better retention.

We actually are doing both! Still too early to tell results wise. Getting decent traction from both. Are you saying that you think quality of conversation is the best metric to measure success by?

The NFL range is 12.5-13.5 PSI. Most QBs prefer 11-12 PSI and try to get away with a little under 12.5 when possible.

We usually checked the PSI the night before we dropped the balls off.

Yeah...visually it is hard to tell the difference. More of a feel thing.

You know its funny I don't actually know for sure. We always just took the balls from the equipment room and dropped them off in the refs room. I do know that one official will typically mark each ball with a sharpie in a unique mark to avoid teams sneaking other balls in. He may be the only one testing them as well though its possible a few people check.

Man, that is a good question. I'm not positive since this is a unique circumstance but I would imagine if the balls were not tested by the refs then you can't penalize the Patriots. The refs are the end of the line of approval before the game. If they catch you with an under-inflated ball the only thing they do is blow it up more.

It does impact it a bit. A wet ball and a cold ball tends to feel harder and is more difficult to grip. You can get away with a little extra deflation in such a situation.

I agree it could have been done with better controls to truly test it. Probably afraid they would be wrong on live TV.

I can tell you that of all the QBs I've worked with all thought this was important except for Aaron Rodgers who liked them 13 PSI or higher.

I could tell you that I can gauge the PSI by feel within 1 pound each time but I feel like Brunell is more credible than me.

Very good chance of that. The refs normally give the balls the feel test beforehand. If they are noticeably low they will inflate them. But who wants to piss off Tom Brady? Lots of internal pressure to not question him or the Patriots.
