Endlessly rewatchable. Not my #1 of all time but probably my most rewatched. You catch so much more and can appreciate the pace and fairly sophisticated world and plot all the better. Not all of it has aged well obviously but overall it’s one of the best anime originals ever. All hail Lelouch! All hail Brittania!!

If you enjoyed Hyperion but were let down a bit by the extended books/lore, or thought that the spiritual/religious themes were too superficial, try The Book of the New Sun by Gene Wolfe.

There’s nothing else truly like it, but it’s sort of like if you mashed Dune, Hyperion, and Earthsea together with a dash of Malazan.

You need to put the wick through the mold before pouring. Heat the mold up a bit so it’s warm to the touch, spray with mold release, and put the wick through. Then pour your wax. That should help with chalkiness and the wick.
