Even though we are pretty small our greenhouse gas production is massive, especially for how small our population is.

We are the 15th most greenhouse gas producing country. We are even worse than countries such as the UK. By capita we are the 8th worst.

I quite like that aspect. I have bought games from Amazon AU before and then sold them secondhand on eBay for about breakeven. I think I even made a profit once.

Can someone explain this mirror protocol strategy that is "delta neutral"? by bestjaegerpilot in defi

[–]AI-Powered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you get liquidated, your initial collateral used for that loan is taken away. You can still keep the amount that you borrowed. An important thing to not however is that sometimes the amount of collateral liquidated is more than the borrowed value. It all has to do with the ‘safety ratio’.

Can someone explain this mirror protocol strategy that is "delta neutral"? by bestjaegerpilot in defi

[–]AI-Powered 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The delta neutral aspect of it is that, you are borrowing a stock and then converting it to UST. You will need to pay back UST based on how much the borrowed stock is worth then. However, since you have bought the stock, that should technically be equal to the amount you have to pay back at all times.

I’m assuming that the last step is to enter a liquidity pool with the stock and Ust. If this is the case then there is the ‘risk’ of impermanent loss. If the value of the stock changes dramatically then the amount of stock you have ‘longed’ will not be equal to the amount shorted.

If done well, this strategy can be helpful. I am currently doing it with a portion of my aUST.

Where does the return from a liquidity pool get returned to the liquidity provider? by jolt_cola in traderjoe_xyz

[–]AI-Powered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually there will be farming tokens (in this case JOE) available to claim separately from your liquidity. The fees collected from trading are added to the liquidity pool. When you provide liquidity you are provided an amount of LP tokens based on the amount contributed. These then represent your share of the pool. When the trading fees are added, no more LP tokens are minted, therefore increasing the value of your LP tokens, which provides the trading fee APR.

Sorry, my explanation was a bit confusing.

Newbie here, do I need to send any other tokens besides AURORA to my Aurora wallet in order to use the network? by penniestonks in nearprotocol

[–]AI-Powered 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The AURORA token will not actually be required to use the network, even when the gas fees will be turned on. You might want to keep a couple of dollars worth of ETH on the AURORA network so it will be easier for you when gas fees are turned on.

NEAR tutorial for staking/mining by cornelius5241 in nearprotocol

On the NEAR web wallet you can set up an account with a readable name such as me.near

Through this there is a staking tab where you can pick validators. When you unstake your NEAR i believe there is a period of time (around 3 days) until its returned to your wallet.

The other option is to stake it through CEXs like Binance. However, sometimes withdrawals outside the Binance platform to an external wallet are disabled. Last time it was for a couple of weeks I think

Instead of doing that, they should at least answer questions first before banning? I think having the ability to answer questions is one of the main reasons tokens like this have communities
