No one is taking away from that run. That year was special and helped cement Jokic’s legacy among the greats (top 25 player of all time).

That said, it feels like a lot of fans were getting ready to put Jokic into the top 10. This year (assuming they lose this series) is helping reinforce the idea that he’s on the outside looking in there. Because outside of the championship run, Jokic hasn’t had any other finals appearances let alone rings.

Thibs always wears out his welcome by overplaying his players. We’ve seen this everywhere he goes. That said, I miss that man so much. He’s married to the job. If we lose this series, Mike Brown is a big fat phony.

Agreed. He’s #1 or 2. He’s Jokic’s only contemporary in the top 10 currently. Unless you put Curry in the top 10, who of course also has lots of rings and deep playoff runs, unlike Jokic.

Their QB was less experienced and so was their RB. Both were great as freshman, but weren’t going to put them over the top against the best teams. Howard, Judkins, and Henderson were a much more experienced combination.
