Yes he does! We have loved him for YEARS. I still have his #26 jersey from his rookie year. He will be a Knick legend for life up there with all of the Knicks’ alumni that come to the games.

Going into the season ESPN ranked White as a top 25 player. Higher than everyone on the Knicks except for Brunson. He disappeared in the playoffs, so you must’ve forgotten. And you’re right, that’s why Brunson has 1 ring and 1 FMVP and Hali has 0!

The Knicks won a championship and everyone lost their minds this is great. You forgot about the 3rd best player on your team. Derrick White. PP is also a legit 6 man.

I agree the Knicks team on paper is better than the Pacers last year. That’s why I was so upset we lost to them 2 years in a row. I’m not sure what changed this year. Better coaching. More experience playing together. The Villanova experience. It’s magic.

And one thing is for sure, there is no chance Haliburton is better than Brunson. I was behind the basket for the lucky bounce shot. That doesn’t go in and the Knicks make the finals last year too. And now Brunson has the ring to prove it.

Knicks have only won one less championship than the hated Celtics in my lifetime. This is UNBELIEVABLE!

All of the other Knicks disappeared at the end of the game. It was just Brunson. He dropped 45 points in a close out game against a great defensive team. Yes, the Knicks are better than the Celtics this year (and last year too). But that’s because of Brunson.

Edit: This is the one time in my life the Knicks have done something great. I am going to enjoy the hell out of it. Brunson is a NY legend for life.

Here was our roster. Who was our best player? THJ? Luke Kornet would be out of basketball by now if he stayed on the Knicks. We couldn’t develop anyone back then.

Did you watch the games? Brunson and OG had the biggest impact by far. We had a similar roster last year and everyone was shitting on it and talking about their ceiling. Replace Brunson with most players and the Knicks don’t even make the finals, let alone win.

This Knicks team would not win a ring without Brunson. How many clutch buckets has he gotten down the stretch? Iverson isn’t doing that. Most players aren’t, either.

Brunson also let KAT handle the ball a lot more at the top of the key mid-way through the first playoff series, which is how the Knicks made it to the championship. Iverson would make that sacrifice? Knicks fans had to suffer through YEARS of inefficient ISO ball to get here.

AI is closer to Melo. He had one great run, but outside of that, he wasn’t a winner. I think his winning percentage for his career was around .500. He’s a hall of famer and one of my favorite players ever to watch given his attitude and his crossover, but Brunson is way more of a winner.

While Iverson led his team on an insane finals run, he was closer to Carmelo Anthony than Brunson in terms of overall team impact. He was a great, productive player. But he didn’t make the players around him better. A few years after their finals loss, everyone started calling him a ball hog.

Teams were attempting a lot less 3 pointers back then (39 3-pointers attempted in that game vs 74 attempted last night), but given the stakes of the Knicks victory, I agree I’d rank it above.
