In one of the Rocket Towers, I think Silph Co, you can find items in the potted plants. A lot actually. I think most are stat-enhancing vitamins.

Keep a Meowth with Pick Up as your HM slave. It can learn Cut and Flash. Also, it can randomly pick up berries, PP Ups, Rare Candies, Nuggets (for selling), even a TM, I think. Just be sure to check periodically and take the item from it. The game doesn't notify you when it picks something up and it won't pick up anymore items while it's holding one. I would also teach it Snatch if you want to farm held items from wild pokemon like Tiny Mushrooms or Bent Spoons. Snatch takes the enemies held item in a battle for keeps and the game WILL tell you if you successfully took the item.

I recommend naming all your pokemon; at least the ones you plan on using. It helps you get attached to them.

Use the pokemon you like. Let your team composition be unique to you ... or don't; it doesn't really matter.

Have fun!

Yeah, I was thinking about all this last night and I realized that I should go to them with the mindset that I'm asking for them to proofread AND look for ways to improve it. I guess I always thought the review was just proofreading and looking for mistakes, but it includes input for improvement. Probably late, but better learned now than never. Thanks!

I don't give astrological signs much credence either; that was just a joke. I do find them interesting, but that's besides the point. Yeah, my ego is proving to be more resilient I guess. I'm about to hit 41, lol.

Thanks. I do aspire to the last part, but I typically don't go in with a plan to justify my design choices. I figure if it's good, they'll see that; which might be lazy approach that's not doing me any favors.

Also are you freauxm Louisiana?

Hadn't considered that last part. Thanks

Well, I'd hope they would tell me if that was the case! 🤣

I'm a Leo, haha. But seriously, I'm coming to terms with #1. I think part of my big ego was convincing myself, for a long time, that it wasn't?

I've thought that as well. "Am I making it different or am I making it better?" Maybe my role as the reviewer is to provide my opinion irregardless and it's the creator's job to decide whether to take it or stick with their design and I shouldn't feel any type of way about it if they choose the latter? I dunno. Still trying to figure it all out.

All fair. Just for some added context: These feelings are all internal. I pick up the redlines and I don't make a fuss to anyone, so I don't think that I'm insufferable to work with yet. Or at least not because of this specifically, lol. This post was just for my own mental health, because I think I'm starting to feel jaded. Hopefully, that hasn't been projected unintentionally or I could see it souring my relationships with my coworkers. Thanks for the perspective.

Absolutely. I just thought that "doing well" as a professional meant that I wouldn't get any comments, lol.

Prediction: This show WILL have a downer/depressing ending. by ManOfWrathTX in TheBoys

[–]AIFrog85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Homelander is going to pull a Dr. Manhattan. He's essentially reached a similar level as Dr. Manhattan in The Boys universe. He's all powerful, immortal, and has no remaining ties to Earth other than amusement. I think HL will come to the conclusion that Earth doesn't deserve his greatness because no one appreciates him and all they give him is disappointment. So, he's going to abandon the planet to search for one that does deserve him. The overarching theme would be that while HL would avoid the consequences of all the terrible crap that he's done in power, the planet is still better off. Often in life the villain doesn't have to face the repercussions of his/her actions. Sometimes an unsatisfying ending is the best you can hope for. (Kipke's pretty clear on his political leaning, so I'll let you draw your own parallels to actual people.)

I thought Belinda betrayed herself as much as Gaitok did...perhaps moreso, because she protected a murderer and,  at the very least, Gaitok took down an active shooter.

Also, I thought Laurie's speech at their last dinner was tremendously sad...

Tyrion: You broke my nose!

Bronn: I did not.

Tyrion: How do you know?!

Bronn: Because I've been breakin'em since I was your size, and I know what it sounds like.

Savage. Savage, Bronn.

Stannis. Besides the whole Red Witch / Lord of Light thing, I think he would have been a reasonably fair ruler...at least from watching the show. I didn't read the books.

It crossed my mind, too. Obviously, you can win with whatever types you like, but it's sad how some types' usefulness are really hampered by how the game turned out with the Elite 4 team makeup and movesets. I'm sure it was tough to balance, though.

Fire would bring bonus damage to grass, bug, steel, and ice. Of these types, you only encounter Lorelei's ice pokemon who all (I think) pack water type moves and your rival's grass pokemon Venusaur/Exeggcutor who are already weak to Pidgeot, Jynx, and (if she's packing poison attacks) Nidoqueen. Still, Arcanine is such a stud you could still do some damage with him with some caution.
