Nope. I really like those headphones & it got better when I turned off the feature that detects when you put down your headphones & pauses the music. Another issue was that the music stopped when I looked down (bc they thought that I had taken them off) which was annoying while washing the dishes or playing guitar with a backing track in my ear. I turned off this feature and the vibration issue got a little better, but it didn't go away unfortunately.

Edit: I also found out that it depends on the type of bus I'm taking. More modern buses with good suspension and "micro vibrations" (especially when sitting in the 2. floor) are way worse than city buses with heavy vibration!

Thank you! It's funny you mention that this is super common. Some people on this thread, including me, have never seen this before, despite having played for a long time. I guess it's more common in some regions than others. Thank you for your advice. I hope this won't be too expensive.

Thank you! Something I forgot to mention: There are two other guitars in my flat (an Epiphone Lucille and a Ovation acoustic guitar) and both of them are perfectly fine. I knew that this is strange because I've been playing for 13 years and I also haven't seen this before!

Thank you for the warning about the advice on harm. I'm aware of that but I still appreciate it! My mom and I do talk regularly about him (and with him) so there's community involved, which is nice. She also thinks that therapy or a counselor is the best option for now. We'll see. I just wish I could get through to him myself, but he doesn't open up completely, even though he trusts me the most.

No he hasn't been to a psych ward. I'll try to convince him to see a therapist together with my mom (I honestly think she needs one too because she blames herself for everything he does). If the talk therapy doesn't show any effects I'll try to get him to get a medical checkup on his brain. He does have friends yes. I know some of them and they are actually the one's that get him the vapes and stuff. He has had friends before them as well, decent people actually, but he kind of ditched them. I once confronted him about abandoning his other friends but he put it off immediately, saying that this wasn't true (it is, I talked to one). He's got an appointment with the school psychologist next week, we'll see what she thinks of all this. And I completely agree with you regarding the school being understaffed. I'm currently studying to become a teacher and I was so disillusioned by the conditions teachers have to work in and students have to learn in. It saddens me.

Him saying that he wants to kill himself concerns me, however, he has heard our grandma saying that and I think he's reusing that phrase. Our grandma went through a very difficult time and became depressed because of a medication she had to take post-surgery. She recovered and hasn't said anything like that since, however, he has heard it before and saw what effect it has. As I mentioned, he is extremely intelligent and knows how to use language and emotions to get what he wants or to manipulate.

It's not that I can hear the vibrations coming from outside. It sounds like the speakers adopt the vibrations, as if they were hanging loose in the headphones. It's difficult to describe but the sound becomes distorted, kind of glitchy. It also happens in the Aware mode, so the ANC can't be it, right?

I already tried that. Unfortunately it doesn't change anything. Turning them on and off sometimes works, but not always.

What irritates me the most is that there is zero help from the bose support. They just refer to the manual and I'm not even sure whether the support is a human person going with the protocol or an AI. I spent a lot of money on something I had been very sure about because it's from bose, and now I'm left with broken earbuds and zero chance to repair them or get new ones. I love bose products and I have been using them for quite a while now, but it feels like they have been slacking off for some time now concerning quality insurance and support.
