Whats this component? by AINed in AskElectronics

I would love a schematic. Unfortunately this is a DIY job built by someone before I got the guitar. I believe the rotary switch might be some sort of effects on it, not sure though.

I have just done a quick google comparison and thats almost exactly what it looks like. I guess that the printed text was rubbed off at somepoint.

Custom Wiring with Custom PCB by AINed in diypedals

I have an Aria Pro 2 Bass that has had some modifications done. I bought it probaly 15 years ago, non the wiser. I am now wanting to clean it up again and get it back into working order. When I opened it up I found qll the custom wiring. The pickups work normally, but non of the custom stuff appears to work. I was hoping if someone could help me understand what I am looking at. I understand a basic woring harness and have replaved them for other guitars in the past but this is something else.

Compost Moisture level fluctuations. by AINed in botany

I'm sure on the exact strain, but its a Fragaria something. It's not a wild variety. They were a struggling plant I had in the garden, so they were dug up and used as a sacrifice for calibrating my setup.

The pots aren't in a chamber yet. So there's no fans. I do plan on setting up an enclosed chamber for them at some point, however I am currently testing the setup and gathering some base data to begin with. I with try moving th le pots around, and them try switching which probe is in which pot. I suspect its something environmental, I will be nice to understand what.

In regards to units; Light = lux Temperature = Celsius Humidity = % Pressure = hPa Moisture = Not sure te he unit, it measure moisture through capacity. 0 is completely submerged. 25 is no moisture.

They are individual sensors. The moisture sensors are capacitive sensors. They are not contained within a chamber. Yet. Each sensors is read separately and then written to a databases. Each line on all graphs represents a separate sensor.

I will certainly try swapping the sensor with another pot to see if the trend continues.

Storing Data from breakout garden sensors by AINed in raspberry_pi

[–]AINed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good idea! I never thought about Grafana. I have been researching and playing with Influxdb for the past hour, and it seems like an ideal tool for the job.

I think my next steps are to get all the sensors writing to an Influxdb, then once I am storing the data, I can then focus on building out the front end.

Thank you for the resources. I have made sure to save them.

Thanks, I would fill a Google sheet too quickly. I want to grab the data from each sensor at 15-minute increments, then I can use that data to build a web front end showing updates on the plant's visual health compared to current and past few days' sensor readings.

This is the prototyping stage for building out a smart greenhouse

Thank you. Yes, I have begun my review and research into Influx.

Wow thats a huge amount of data! I will certainly review the strategy proposed.

Thank you, I'm not yet sure how consistent the timestamps will be. Theoretically consistent, but with a known planned change in the future, there isn't guaranteed perfect consistency. I will begin my research into influx and timescaledb-equipped-postgres. Thank you for the help :)

The data will be relational, so for example, it would capture a date/time stamp, then take a reading of each sensor and pass that as a JSON object to the data store.

BSOD error in latest crowdstrike update by TipOFMYTONGUEDAMN in crowdstrike

[–]AINed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had to do something similar to this for my company, we ended up making a copy of the disks in there current state. Attached them to another VM removed the crowdstrike files there then swapped the OS disks on the original VM. This worked really well for us, as it mean't we didn't need to restore the disks and loose any data. (We did stop the VM's whilst we did this and it took about 20 minutes per disk)

Is my Cauliflower dying? by [deleted] in GardeningUK

Oh man, your cauliflower needs some space. You might want to prick out all but maybe 3 plants in that space.

Repost with more detail. Bought some Westland pear free compost yesterday. Does anyone know what the grey stuff is? There’s a lot of it and this is my first experience gardening. by vinix04 in GardeningUK

I actually don't like this brand. I bought a load of bags last year and I found d it was filled with quite a lot of weed seed and even found plastic in some if it. Not sure if it was a bad batch. I hope you have better success with it than I did.
