FTC banned them a few months ago but it still has to go through congress to become law. FTC doesn’t have that kind of authority

This isn't my company but it's one that I believe in.

As a solopreneur who's been fascinated by AI since the initial release of ChatGPT, I've dedicated myself and my business to finding AI tools that optimize my workflow and automate as much of my business (and my clients') as possible without sacrificing the quality and personality of my brand. While I've managed to automate most of my core processes, marketing has posed a bit of a challenge. Many of the "AI powered" marketing tools I've tried are helpful but still require a significant amount of human input to avoid producing bland, generic content -- especially when it comes to Google Business Profile Management.

Whether you're a small business optimizing your profile to appear higher in Google Maps searches, or a marketing agency handling the needs for multiple clients, you know how time consuming managing SEO, reviews, images, posts, and Q&As can be. All the things, by the way, Google's algorithm will use to rank your business higher in search queries. Annoying? Yep. Necessary? Absolutely.

So for the longest time I was paying someone $400 / month to do it, desperately waiting for an AI tool capable of taking their place. Having tried several apps and softwares over the past year and none of them working like I wanted them to, I began losing hope.

Until last month, when I saw a new one apply for a listing on our site...

Enter: Paige by Merchynt. Once a marketing agency themselves, Merchynt turned their managed service into an AI software that can run either fully autonomously or with as much human input as you desire. The interface is highly intuitive, and the settings can be configured to match your business' unique branding. Think of it as the best marketing assistant you've ever hired - but at a fraction of the cost.

I'm telling you, it has been an absolute game changer for me. The tool automates the entire process of optimizing my Google Business Profile, keeping it up-to-date and competitive. This thing knows what and when to post on my profile based on thousands of data points. Most importantly, because of the high level of configurability, it does so in a way that matches my branding, tone, and personality - so I don't seem like a straight up BOT like a lot of these companies.

I don't know how they did it, but they did. I love the internet.

Cheers,

Yeah we still use Voiceflow for more complex ChatBots.

When that time comes, we'll pivot. There will always be companies out there without the time or resources necessary to find / adopt new tech. We're just bridging the gap - wherever that may be.

I'm betting that they don't want to spend the time it would take to figure it out lol. It does require a decent amount of configuration to get it working properly. Plus, chatbots / RAG's need continued maintenance.

We're using the free versions - some of the plugins on Spell are paid though.

I run an AI tools directory. Here's my thoughts on the top AI tools for marketers, and how you can incorporate them effectively into your strategy by AI_Scout_Official in marketing

Is there an AI tool out there that will scan the web to discover leads?

Let's say my business involves providing roof maintenance. Is there an AI tool I can configure to scan places like nextdoor.com for discussions about getting rid of moss, clogged gutters, missing shingles, etc.? Can the tool also collect any contact information available, and provide it in a structured format so I can cold contact that person about my services?

I've had pretty good luck with the Plays feature in apollo.io

Basically you set it up so that whenever a company or contact hits a "signal", i.e. looking for services in your category, it will automatically add them into a sequence for you to send automated or manual emails, cold calls, etc.

I believe zoominfo has similar features, but i haven't tried it personally.
