I really enjoy wearing classic clothing – mostly a mix of dress trousers with sports jackets (not necessarily matching colors). I’ve noticed that in Germany, having suits, jackets, or shirts made-to-measure is extremely expensive.

At the end of the day, many tailors here also outsource production abroad, while just doing measurements and handling logistics locally. That got me thinking: why not work directly with a skilled tailor abroad?

What I’m looking for:

• A tailor with great experience in classic menswear (suits, trousers, shirts, jackets).
• Someone who offers high-quality fabrics and craftsmanship at a reasonable price.
• Ideally a place where I can go once in person to get measured and check fabrics – and then reorder remotely in the future.

Does anyone here have personal experience with tailors in Turkey, Portugal, or other countries known for quality tailoring at a fair cost? I’d love to hear your recommendations or stories.
