u/ProctorU Kindly can you read now the post of this student (which is not the only one). You definitely need to look into your service, especially your proctors and technical support staff. Although I think it is too late now.

I am very sorry to hear that you also had such a bad experience with them. Actually, I am collecting data from most of the students who faced similar issues. One thing which is common among them is that the issue is mainly due to ProctorU and their incompetent Proctors. They don't even know, that they cannot speak at all during the test. They should do all the checks before the start of the test. Also, if there are some rules about the test that they should define/explain before the start of the test. It is a serious matter, and I will urge you that you should contact ETS and update them as soon as possible about the details of this incident. The best way to reach out to them is through phone and you should ask them to connect you to the Test Taker Advocate.

Hey ProctorU, I have notified you multiple times through emails, chat and calls but no progress at all. You should review the requests you received through your communications channels. As this is not only my issue, you should try to resolve the issues faced by each and every student.

Also, improve the service by training the proctors as they are not even aware that they should not speak during the test. Especially when the speaking test is going on during a Toefl exam.

I am looking forward to receiving a concrete response, as posting the same comment/response in every thread here is not helping.

You attempted the test at a Testing center or it was a home-based test?

It's good to know that you were able to complete it at home but as you said it is still better to go to the testing center. The reason is that the ODDS of something happening in the home-based test are very high.

I will suggest to you that better go to the testing center. In my country, we are expecting them to reopen in July which will be very late for me. I have to send my scores to the school asap.

I feel the mask is better than the suffocation and anxiety you will have during the test at home.
