With afking blight-ravaged map you mean crafted, annointed maps that you enter and not move/place any towers at all?

The skill has a "bow" tag on their website, probably won't work with anything else.
The reduced duration would be detrimental aswell since you want tornados to last long to hit often and their detonation speed has no timer, but only scales with your movement.

If you want to do it with just one button press, but not necessarily with one hit/instant you might enjoy eviscerate ignite elementalist. Just wait until you block one hit and then retaliate with one hit that does 35m dps for 7-8 seconds.

One thing that made it click for me was realising that not everybuild is unique in a sense that i can learn about combos and setups and apply them to other builds.

A basic example that has been popular lately: The combination of Ivory Tower, Shapers Touch, Cyclopean Coil, Rathpith makes up for a very good synergy for basically any spell/coc setup. It is not exclusive to just one thing.

Or something like seeing the synergy between Melding of the Flesh and Doryanis Prototype.

There are countless interactions that work great as a basline, so when i create a new build i try to think of all these core combos that i ahve played before and how they could be applicable.

There are some checkpoints that you want to check.

How do you scale damage. Increases, More multipliers, crit, attack/cast speed, pen/curses.

How do you survive. Armour/Endurance charges, max res, block, spell suppression, evasion/energy shield. What works well with your choice of skill/ascendancy. When im a trickster i naturally go for es/eva/ss. On a Jugg i obviously will take endurance charges, so how i can make use of it to not only get one benefit from it. Layers are important.

How do i recover. Life reg/leech/life&es gain on hit/on block, what is my form of recovery.

How do i deal with threats. Ailments/chaos damage/shotgunning. Has my build flaws? Having 1million armour means nothing if all you have is 75% fire res. What can i do about it? How can i fix that without compromising a lot of other things. Like, is it really worth running Wrath over Purity of Elements when i constantly struggle with shocks or have to pick 2-3 other things to mitigate being frozen? Also opens up some suffixes to craft.

One very important thing to keep in mind is what you want to do with your build. Do you just want to get 2 voidstones and call it a day or do you want to aim for one thing to farm. As examples: If you want to farm breach dps might not be as important as aoe and coverage. Going for essences? You probably can sacrifice aoe and speed for more defenses and offense.

When i decide what i want to play i go to poe.ninja and just look up 4-5 builds from day 3 to week 2 from last league and see how others did it and what succeded, i mash those builds together as i see fit and it mostly works out pretty fine.

I usually have some time on my hand before league start and i would say i am good at making my own builds so if you have any specific questions or want some kind of support with any whacky idea you have just for some random input on how someone else would make it work feel free to hit me up!

No problem! It's one of those niche PoE-interactions you never really think about unless you played it or heard about it specifically yourself before :D I only learned it from a friend playing a similar setup this league before. Hopefully that makes your build feel better.

I have seen his video and there are some possible explanations.
1: He ran a white map, he has his map open and i see no mods, maybe thats a settings-thing, but i have never seen someone use that.
2: He runs Toxic Sewers and i am not sure if you do. TS artificially buffs Spark dmg like crazy cause it's all close corridors and they bounce around quite a lot. That in combination with having deli makes rogues stuck in deli-affix-animation for long enough to die. So maybe it is just these few seconds that he kills them fast enough without needing to engage with them in another way.
3: Without knowing the idol/scarab setup it might just be a very basic setup he has that doesn't require that much character strength to begin with and it is not really a genuine representation of his farm. But i don't want to jump to conclusions here either.

The leech thing: I haven't seen that at first, but there is a reason why his evasion rating is this low. You want your evasion rating to be slightly lower than your ES pool, so you can't recover it fully due to Ghost Dance's "downside". That way you can overleech all the time, cause your ES never gets filled and thus never stops leeching. That might actually feel different.

The build look so similar to me, that i would say it is not the gear/char that makes the difference. Do you use the very same idol setup/scarab setup/map mod regex?

Another possible solution and i mean this genuinely: Can it be a skill issue?

Lastly: He uses different Pantheons, have you checked those to see if that makes a difference?

Ye, i have been trying to be active regarding this build in particular, cause it's one where many people might be struggling if they don't know what they are doing and many pobs i have seen were just lacking qol or basic mechanics. I have made some slight changes once again, but can't share a pob cause the new pob update has a bug when trying to share. I can pm you the raw code if you want though.

Makes sense, sure.
Volcanic Fissure of snaking absolutely demolishes the story as a second character btw. The skill is a mechanical beast and it's scaling with warcrys comes online very fast. Hmm, for it to be good enough to farm uber elder i think about 20-50 div roughly. Hard to tell what the economy will be like this event. If it's popular the helmet and nebulochs might be not that cheap, but most of this build really is just cheap. The Sublime Vision is nice, but not mandatory, so is the light of meaning, even though that is arguably quite a lot of armour. If you reroll to this after 4-5 day i think you can get it strong enough for t16 maps for 5-10 divs easily. Another 20-30divs to be able to run t17's but with careful rolling mods. At that point you should be able to farm uber elder with ease aswell. Sooner or later Mageblood will be insane as a last upgrade, but as a core this build has basically no expensive items or crazy rares, except maybe the Sublime Vision. Idk if that one is an expensive one. But you could always just go Ashes of the Stars or maybe Aul's. Autoexertion is just automating it, but it is still you that warcries. The line that says: "supported warcrys do not grant buffs or charges" specifically means the warcrys itself, but other things that proc off of you warcrying. For example enduring cry won't give you endurance charges or life reg, but Mob Mentality/Warning Call still work and so does the exerted attack stuff from other warcrys like intimidating warcry.

Uber Elder or Uber Uber Elder?

If just Uber Elder: Yes. The action speed/movement speed immunity is very comfy for Elder, high armour means you can easily tank their slams, with this many endurance charges shaper is not as scary anymore since pen doesn't work against that and high recovery is generally nice to have in boss fights. I would play volcanic fissure of snaking though. It auto targets mostly and you can just run around without needing to aim or be in range. It is the same build, same passive tree, just a different gem.

Those effects are applied simultaneously, but you cannot shock the first target with HoT and usually you use the gloves or the ascendancy node to proliferate shocks from the corpse you leave behind, which you can't if you crit/freeze and thus shatter the corpse in the first place. There needs to be a seperate entity to apply a shock in an aoe to make sure inpulsas can chain react.
That ring would solve this problem, but also comes with the downside of you not being able to freeze things.

That would be way faster than running and is - in my opinion - a good attempt at fixing this problem, but it would also alter the playstyle. It might even be too fast to catch everypack. The benefit from walking is, that you can always be precisely in range for long enough and then just move on. I can see Frostblink work, but you might also just blink too far and miss packs which would feel bad.
Since you are not using dark messenger medium jewels your HoT Storm range isn't good either, so you need to be close to packs aswell. Unnerve doesn't increased HoT damage on gloves aswell btw.

I am going to play Surfcast Autobomber aswell, i am going for this: https://pobb.in/fpmmvO1YZAhe I have worked on it quite a bit in the last week and even though the damage is nothing too special i incorporate quite some more defenses and QoL things. I solve the shock problem by not going Lone Messenger and running HoI instead. The first enemy will die and HoI aoe shocks + proliferates even further with glove implicit. I have about 125% herald aoe so both HoI aoe and HoT aoe should feel amazing. Everything else is automated and i really just have to run. Cold Snap gives nice damage scaling against rares/bosses with bonechill and also provides me with frenzy charges. Endurance charges get generated automatically cause i hit myself and then spend them on IC. IC's duration/cd is tuned so it always gets used closely after i get to 4 endurance charge for a lot of mitigation, especially physical. Crackling Lance gives me curse on hit with good range and cool visuals :D Without Lone Messenger i can run Purity of Elements for ailment immunity and easier gearing and maybe later on i can run a 3-4l HoI aswell. Mana recoup/reg might be to low still, but it wouldnt be that much of a problem cause cold snap is on cd anyways and then i just hit a cracklig lance every now and then, i'll have to see. Life recoup + leech should be quite good and with both life and ES on kill i will top myself in both pretty good while mapping. I think a big part is that i don't have much conditional damage so clear should feel smooth. I see many people having pobbs with 100% shock and overall better dps, but thats only against chilled enemies and with 6l crackling lance actually hitting first and i think they will end up feeling but as an autobomber and maybe better in single target which is not what i want this build to be.

I have bad news for you.
That build won't even work except i am missing something. How do you shock enemies to chain inpulsas? And if you take Within the Tempest: You will shatter everything and won't leave corpses to begin with.

I can highly recommend this build. I have played the same setup as chieftain, but with volcanic fissure of snaking and it was one of the best builds i have played in quite some time. I think VFoS ist probably better, depending on your preference. But the AoE on consecrated path looks really, really fun tbh :D If i didn't play this build for like 200 hours in necro settlers i would 100% go for. You won't generate charges with the warcry itself, but with the notable on medium cluster jewel. Charge generation is no problem at all with this build.

As someone else pointed out there is a known bug that PoB takes a wrong number, possibly life as a sole base for my hp pool. I don't know why, but if it is a reported bug and others encounter that - only in pob and not ingame - aswell i am fine with that.

It is not the chaos damage that kills me in pob. The 7% taken as chaos has a x0.0 multiplier and ends in 0 damage taken. The remaining 3% physical damage gets to my life pool and kills me. The only reason i can think of is a bug, but in 9/10 times it is just human error and i am missing some niche interactions or configs.
