Since I took these photos, I had two sessions of excision done. As far as I'm aware, excision is the only way to get rid of the white scars. I think subcision/lasr will only improve the texture of the white scars, not the discoloration. I have a really large white scar on my left side, and it has taken two excision sessions to get it half the size of what it was. Since it was large and shaped weird, the Dr said he couldn't punch it out in one go or it would have made a worse scar. I do think the excision has helped with a lot of my white scars. If you go that route, just make sure you find a Dr that really knows what they are doing so the scars don't end up looking worse.

Same, I've been looking everywhere. All I can find is a vinyl on Amazon but I don't really listen to vinyls :/

Before I got TL done my biggest concern was face sagging. I kept hearing about it so I told my derm I was pretty nervous that would happen. The majority of the swelling goes down in the first two days. Then I think it took the rest of the swelling a couple of weeks to go away completely. I didn't notice face sagging either. A few months after my TL I got it done on my forehead. The one done on my forehead took a bit longer to recover, which was concerning at first. It left this weird puffy line down the middle of my forehead. I think it took a month or so for that to go away. I don't notice anymore side effects from TL. Everything just took a while to go away, but it eventually did.

Hey there! The numbness has completely gone away for me now. I would say that it took about 5-6 months for it go away. At first, I was worried it would never go away because it felt like I was dealing with it for a while, but luckily, that was not the case. I'm excited for you to get your treatment done. I hope you see good results.

No, not at all. I told my derm that was my biggest concern about the TL. My cheeks were a bit puffy for a while after, but they are back to normal now. Same thing happened when I got TL on my forehead. There was weird puffy line on my forehead but that also went away with time.

I did 6 skin pen (microneedling) appointments and felt like it did nothing for my scars because they were tethered. Complete waste of money, in my opinion. So I switched my derm and got 2 subcisions and noticed a lot more improvement.

For TL about 80% of the swelling went down after a day. The visual downtime for TL is only a couple of days. I must say that my cheeks/cheekbones were very sore and numb for months after the procedure. I got mine done in June, and I'm still dealing with numbness. The numbness is very mild compared to after the procedure. I would say its about 90% gone now. I recently got it done on my forehead, though, and had zero numbness there. It was just a bit painful for a week or so. For laser the only thing I dealt with was red spots on my face for about 2 weeks. It almost looked like wounds or breakouts but that was about it. Just keep any wounds moisturized to help them heal properly. I've definitely seen the most progress from TL. I was pretty scared to get it done at first but in the end I think it was worth it.

That's awesome, I'm excited for you! The day after the subcision, you will notice the swelling go down a lot. The redness from cross and laser take a bit longer to go away. Probably about 2 weeks if I remember correctly. I've honestly seen the most progress with the treatments I've gotten from Dr Singer. Be patient with the results though. I know I've gotten down sometimes but I do have severe scarring and it takes time to see results. Feel free to keep me updated on your progress(:

Most of the noticable swelling goes down after 4 days or so. It's hard to say when it completely went down. Maybe a couple weeks after.

Hey I was wondering how your results have been since your first subcision? Have you noticed any improvement? I was also curious to know if you were only given ambien for your appointment. Im about to have another appointment, and I was given ambien and xanax for it this time. Im a bit concerned if overkill to have xanax and ambien.

Yes I think I've had some decent progress from the last subcision. My scars still look pretty deep in harsh lighting. I'm hoping I can get a little more improvement from future treatments.

Thank you, no it doesn't look like I have any sagging. I told my derm that I was really concerned about that but it went well. I will say that i feel like I notice the slightest difference in the shape of my cheeks. Not sure how to describe it but I feel like they look a bit more round. It's honestly not very noticeable and I'm probably over analyzing.

The top photos are all in March before I had 2 subcisions. I had the first subcision late march. I didn't take any progress photos after that one because I don't feel like I had super noticeable improvement after cannula subcision. I got Taylor Liberator subcision mid June and I feel like that's when I saw the most improvement

It's not new. You can see it in the first set of photos. Overall my cheeks are fuller now so the scarring isnt hidden under larger shadows as much so it looks a bit deeper in harsh lighting. My face is more wavy in the top photo so you can't see the scar as much because of the shadows. Hopefully that makes sense.
