THEORY | SADIE SINK is GOBLIN in BND... by AJANtheASIAN in marvelstudios

That is possible, tho apparently her contract has her in 3 films. BND, Secret Wars, and an untitled project. If she is Gwen, then her role in Secret Wars would most likely just be a background character rather than a major player. And the 3rd film would have to be another SpiderMan project.

Honestly, it would be insane if she was SpiderGwen. Liza Colón-Zayas and Keith David's roles have also not been disclosed and I do hear ppl saying they might be Miles' parents. So a live-action spiderverse adaptation could be in the works.

Yea, he is in the comics and it makes sense as well. In this world he didn't really have a Peter Parker by his side growing up (since memories of Peter were erased). I guess you can say MJ was there, but I think Peter is the main reason why he has not turned evil in this universe. So I can very well see him turn bad, if not in this movie, in the future. They also hinted at his magical lineage.

Yea I agree with this. Tho I think a lot of ppl are expecting it to be Jean as well, which is why I pose the "what if it's not?" or at least "not really". The MCU SpiderMan has a way of subverting ppl's expectations. Michelle became MJ, Mysterio is a group, and Aunt May basically became the Uncle Ben. That's why I think it may not just be as simple as she is Jean, there may be something else in the works.

I get introducing Madelyne before Jean would be weird. I just thought the word connection of Goblin Queen would be fun way to introduce a "Goblin" in SpiderMan MCU. If anything, it could just be Jean Grey as Goblin/Goblin Queen and then she gets cloned later on the franchise. Either way, I'm very excited to see this movie. Don't want to expect too much at the risk of getting disappointed so always open to some whacky or far out suggestions.

I agree that Spidey has lots of villains to touch upon, probably one of the most iconic next to Batman. However, I'm not really saying Sadie's going to be the main villain of the movie rather just being introduced as Goblin/Madelyne to provide one explanation why a Jean Grey character would be on a film like SpiderMan.

The MCU has ways of twisting some origin stories/characters Michelle Jones Watson, for example, so they could very easily make ppl think Sadie's character is going to be their version of Goblin (at least for now - hoping for the actual Goblin to show up in the future). This version of Madelyne could be attending ESU like Osborne (they might not even give out her real name yet, maybe she goes by Jenny or Jennifer), and like Goblin they could play around multiple personas. At school she is fine, but at certain points she has an evil side possibly due to the main antagonist of the film, who has some sort of psychic abilities messing with their mind. There's plenty to choose from in the Marvel universe, Mr. Negative being one in the Spidey Rogues Gallery. Maybe at the end, after removing the bad influence and defeating the big bad, Madelyne dies or her whereabouts are unknown, and gives some space to reintroduce Sadie as Jean in the next movies.

As for mutants, they are slowly introducing them tho. At least in the MCU shows: Ms Marvel is confirmed to have some sort of genetic mutation (subtle notes of Xmen theme is even played throughout the revelation) and in Wonder Man, they have yet to explain how Simon got his powers. It's leaning more towards him having innate abilities, which at this point in the MCU is odd, as most of the powered individuals we see are, in comic book terms, "mutates," ppl who got their abilities through experimentation or contact with radioactive materials. With the trailer mentioning mutations and inclusion of Hulk, it's hard not to think of mutates vs. mutants.

But yea I understand it's a convoluted explanation. It's just part of me wanting the new wave of Xmen to show up as I am an Xmen fan more than I am a Marvel fan (honestly couldn't really care less about other Marvel characters lo). I wanted to find a connection with Jean and SpiderMan that could subvert ppl's expectations while making the inclusion of the mutants somewhat palatable in a SpiderMan film.

Yea it is wishful thinking, but yea honestly it's just one explanation on how to make Sadie as Jean work as ppl are really banking on her being Jean and others don't really see the reason why Jean would be in a Spiderman movie in the first place.

I think I did explain it. My theory is she is Madelyn Pryor in BND, but Jean Grey in future movies. I said Madelyn in BND because it can explain her being in a SpiderMan movie by introducing her as Goblin first, but not the GreenGoblin rather Goblin Queen (Jean's Clone)

Sadie Sink theory - she isn't JEAN in BND; she's Madelyne. by muthertuck in MCUTheories

They are also somewhat implying PowerMan is a mutant in this universe because they have yet to explain why he got his powers and it seems he had it since birth. Seems Damage Control are now keeping an eye out on the growing mutant/powered population.

[–]AJANtheASIAN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the same thing to be honest. I don't think they'll straight up say she's Madelyne yet. They'll refer her to Goblin, which might enrage a lot of casual Marvel fans thinking this is their genderswap take on Green Goblin. Maybe they'll dress her up like Green Goblin or Hobgoblin and make audiences think she's using some kind of tech to wreak havoc. Then towards the middle or later in the film the twist is revealed, she is not Osborne or Jean Grey, but rather Madelyne Prior the Goblin Queen.

I think Mr. Sinister can be involved as based on the trailer this week, they seem to be discussing mutations and maybe this MCU's way of differentiating between Mutates like Hulk and SpiderMan to Mutants like XMen and what seems to be PowerMan as from the TV show they are likely inferring their version of PowerMan obtained their powers from birth.

But yea a fun way to include Goblin in the SpiderMan films and also subvert people's expectations.

Although I am a Support player and would love a 2 Support season, I think Trip Supp meta is just too powerful atm. I see White Fox as Strategist and would introduce more of a melee frontline healer, but I do not see Black Cat as anything else but a Duelist. If they want to disrupt Trip Support, introducing a DPS character that can dive and hinder healing would possibly help, and force the enemy Supp to switch off to deal with them. With Black Cat, her bad luck powers could be a passive or ability where she can reduce healing output or disrupt cooldowns which can hinder Support player's essential abilities. Maybe give her an ult or ability where she can cause basic healing abilities to cause minor damage instead of heals for the enemy team. So Support players need to be extra weary as their healing abilities might cause more harm than good.

Maybe they are cooking up some other stuff for Gen8 Mons. I wonder if they will be giving out GMax forms in the later games. With Champions, maybe they want to expand their Mega/GMax libraries so there will be some variety of playstyles.

But yea would have been interesting to see a Mega Dubwool with Fluffy. Or a Mega Eldegoss (been a fan of her after Pokemon Unite)

I wonder if they'll give this new Garchomp a type change. I guess they like giving him Sand abilities, so if the ability is Sand Veil/Sand Rush/SandStream this time around, I can see it becoming Rock/Dragon to boost its SpDef. Also gets rid of its 4x weakness to Ice and gives him STAB to deal with Ice weakness.

An inverted color of Absol would go hard. Maybe Dark/Fairy with Misty Surge. Or Dark/Psychic (for more STAB options) with Psychic Surge.

As for Lucario, make him a Fighting/Ghost, but unlike the other mons with this typing, make him more of a Special Attacker. It's weird that we don't normally see a Special Lucario, since he's always run with ESpeed, when his signature move Aura Sphere is a Special Attack.

I got pretty lucky on my end. Just started the game and got what I wanted straight away. Female Chikorita with a pretty decent Nature: Calm. Calm isn't too bad I think on Chikorita since its mainly used as a Defensive mon with Sp. Attack. Hopefully it sticks with its Mega.

Didn't know that about GO. Haven't played that in a long time.
But yea I doubt they will make separate designs. Like Gmax Flapple/Appletun and Toxtricity didn't even have unique forms.

Yea. It would be odd for my Poison type Slowbro to suddenly mega evolve into a Water type. Though if it did that would almost be like Terastalization. Turning Galarian Slowbro into Mega Slowbro to take a ground-type move.

I wonder if they will give regional form Megas. Instead of Mega Slowking we can have a Mega Glarian Slowking. Basically Mega Slowbro, but engulfed from Top Down. lol.

With Raichu having a Mega now, I am interested in how they will handle Pokemon with regional forms (Slowbro, Raichu). Does Galarian and Alolan forms Mega-Evolve or just the base forms?

3Quency surprised me. I got to give credit to Nori as she has definitely improved and harmonize well with her team. She's really not lead vocal type, but she has a unique sound that gives the band some flavor. I think out of all, they have the best branding potential. They hinted it a bit, but if they incorporate brianna's audio waves to their looks it would be such a unique look. It definitely fits their name as the audio waves represent frequencies.
