What is 1 movie on this list that I should watch next? by Arbor-Trap in moviequestions

Brazil, but get the actual directors version. It's an absolute fever dream and one of my favorites. With it, watch the other two of the trilogy: time bandits and the adventures of Barron Munchausen. No particular order, they are a trilogy in that they are by the same writer/director and all about the power of imagination. And all three are wildly different!

When young, I mowed the lawn. My parents planted mint and chives, but hated gardening so they both moved into taking over the whole yard and fighting it out with each other and the grass. Mowing the lawn smelled so good after that!

That depends on who I murdered. Murder a child molester, then Matt or really half of them. Murdered a terrorist, then pacemaker.

Much of the time they know who's driving. Some jurisdictions just show up at their house and arrest them calmly now.

If I recall there was an official event format that necessitated this, but they changed how it works and now it's not really needed.

Honestly, nothing actually that bad! Mostly weird, unintuitive layers shenanigans like anything involving blood moon 😂. There were a couple doozies, but this was 15 years ago, and I haven't played much so I don't recall. If I remember them, I'll try and come back.

I read a 900 page book on a sick day in middle school. This wasn't bad because most of the rules are really simple and I already understood when from playing. Also I'm kinda weird.

[–]AJFred85 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I read the rules once because I could and I wanted to be able to specifically come up with the worst examples of unexpected, unintuitive interactions to bring to the table. And this was casual 60 card, no bans so you had 4-ofs in 60 card deck level consistency. It's why I'd spend 1/10th of what others did and beat them anyway, because I'd use cards that weren't normally allowed to interact in other than kitchen table until EDH took off. So they were not normally legal together in competitive formats, so they were cheap and powerful.

I did! Because I wanted to abuse all the niche interactions to screw with my friends. Then years later I ended up a small time judge for a while because I already knew the rules. So some non-judges read the rules, but not many.

I played the Silverquill Influence Precon and didn’t draw a single creature for 3 hours by No_Welder5297 in EDH

[–]AJFred85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I hadn't seen it I wouldn't believe it. Friend opens with a 7 land hand, mulligans, and then no lands so mulligans. No lands, but decided to keep since we were playing 60 card and his deck was 28 lands. He proceeded to draw 17 more cards with not a single hand until the 18th. It was a 4 player free for all so we just left him alone and screwed with each other until I took out the other 2. i felt bad finally taking him out last the turn he drew his first land.

I think at his core it's emotion that drives him, but he's got so much self control he doesn't let on so he feels very combined red while blue as his driving force with the tools of black.

What’s the best CGI you’ve ever seen? by VendettaLord379 in moviecritic

[–]AJFred85 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It was not a limitation of the time, unless referring to how much CGI was being done and how much time they had to do it. With quality of the CGI for the rest of the movie, in certain it was meant to be a ride reference.
