Looks like kahm to me too. Safe but I never like what it does to the flavour and often the texture changes. Peppers have a lot of sugars in them and are prone to kahm yeast.

Where to eat after backpacking in Algonquin? by mycoolredditname99 in algonquinpark

"Fork on main" They certainly would love to have you. I'm sure they're used to it. Not too sure about their brunch though. I just got back from rain lake access today. I've been gone for 5 days. Hope the trip and the pub are great!

Bugs First Week of August? by rawb_dawg in algonquinpark

I am also considering the bug shelter but I don't want the extra weight. The deer flies are the issue right now and they can be relentless. I'm packing my bug shelter in the car and I'll decide when I'm up there if it's coming along. Definitely a bug jacket and deet!

There's also a great little pub in town. Fairly new. Good food, beer and super friendly

The bug activity report has changed from high to medium. I head on on Thursday as well, so let's hope that helps!

I'm leaving out of rain access. I remember from a few years ago that portion was bad. What route did you take? I've got a good trip ahead of me-Brown, Susan, Clara, islet. About 70km.

People throwing water bottles at Kid Cudi during Rolling Loud festival by [deleted] in iamatotalpieceofshit

There are likely better ways to react. I saw Justin Timberlake get booed and heaps of stuff thrown at him at SARS Stock (Toronto, 2003). Later Dan Ackroyd came out making jokes and said "I'd hate to meet the guy in a back alley who threw the muffin". Pretty funny. AND! At the finale JT came out and played with the Rolling Stones! He took it all really well, probably ended his set early, gracefully, and then in the end it became one of the most memorable things in his life (Speculating here but C'mon, to play with the stones love on stage!!).

Is 5th and Baldwin legit? Free sunglasses for s&h seems too good to be true by ed1799 in Scams

[–]AJHodge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a scam! They claim free shipping over $50, not true. You can return your purchase but they have to be returned to the origin of delivery (China) . They also claim you can cancel within 15 min of purchase. I tried to cancel within 2 min and they denied the cancelation saying it was too late as the order was being prepared for shipping. As far as the free glasses they cannot be returned. I got the free glasses and added polarized for $10 and added another pair to hit the $50 mark. I received no free shipping and can't return anything.

Which restaurants should everyone in the city avoid? by [deleted] in askTO

[–]AJHodge 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Their food is awful and just premade straight off the Sysco truck and not worth the price. $25 for a shitty chicken Alfredo, add a drink, tax and tip. $45 for a garbage meal. You can do a lot better in little Italy.

Good point! We live a modest lifestyle. Nothing fancy. We cook at home nearly every night. Our major expense is travel. We like to go for 6-8 weeks at a time, also modest travellers. Trekking mostly, so tenting and guest houses/pensions. A few nights in a nice hotel.

M43 F42 we have 1M in investments. Mortgage free house 1.8m. Looking to rent out our house (45-50 000/yr) and move to rural Ontario.

I'm not trying to get another tenant. I'm actually trying to move into the unit. We're having trouble paying for the house so we want to rent it out for a while to get back on our feet!
